WHEN THE KEY LIGHT GOES OFF [chanbaek]

LITTLE WIND

They were given a full week off, and then their promotions would start. Coming Monday was their series first episode air day and everyone who worked hard to create it anticipated the public response. There were an overall three teasers and an official music video released during that week and the response was satisfactory.

A week went by so quickly, Chanyeol went on a small trip with his family while Baekhyun stayed home sleeping, eating, and playing. Finally, it was Monday and the direction team arranged a small get together kind of thing for the whole crew which was followed by a nice Lunch and continued till late night as their episode airs at nine PM.

They say habits die hard and Baekhyun could see it when Chanyeol called him early in the morning to inform that he'll come to pick him up for the day's event.

Baekhyun likes to keep it simple when he's not filming, so he wore a plain white T-shirt, basic makeup, and his favorite round gold glasses. His hair began to grow black at the roots, and that kinda gave him a new look. Just like every day, Chanyeol was on time to pick his puppy but Baekhyun invited him into his house as his parents missed the giant's laughter so much.

He stayed an hour talking to Mama and Papa Baek. Finally, they started as their phones kept buzzing like bees from the calls done by the crew members.

"you got cheeks," Chanyeol said taking a quick look at Baekhyun while driving.

"I ate a lot this week and I did nothing but eating." he adorably replied pressing his own cheeks in between his palms.

"Really!" Chanyeol was so surprised, he can never imagine himself being home even for two days straight, "let me see if you got a little tummy." his hand reach on to little puppy's tummy while he held the steering wheel tight with the other. "Seems like you don't grow the belly fat so quick." rubbing on his torso he felt nothing has changed.

"That's because I'm wearing high waist pants." Baekhyun was quick to deny Chanyeol's comment, "you'll know if you actually touch underneath this shirt." he grabbed the giant's hand and let him touch his little belly by lifting his shirt up. "You feel that fat bulged up?" he was looking straight into Chanyeol's big eyes and was casually questioning but on the other side the giant's brain went under a major shutdown, he wasn't expecting that from Baekhyun, and the feel of his delicate skin under his warm hands was getting too much to take. "feel that? Chanyeol?" he messed up Chanyeol's condition and he has no idea about that.

"yeah." that was really a long yeah. Pulling his hand back, Chanyeol struggled to get his senses back to work. "you need to workout before our director gets mad at you when the pants they give you won't slide up your booty." that was a massive attempt to sound cool and unaffected.

"Oh, come on, I'm not that fat." heads down, he caressed his own little tummy.

"well, pants might pull-up but I bet the zipper won't." his sarcastic comment received a strong hit from Baekhyun.

"you better put your eyes on the road and not on my pants." well, that's what Chanyeol has been trying to do.

Thirty minutes of the ride and they were at the venue, though the staff was upset that they were so late, they mended into the party in no time. There were a lot of people at the resort, not even a single person who contributed to the series was left out of the invitation and that was really a lot of humans.

They went on social media lives, read people's comments and even performed a few tasks requested by the fans. Even Kris and Suho; who were the special attraction of the series participated actively and stole the show. At some stage, the KrisHo topic surpassed the comment section over the series itself. The Lunch was one of the best parts in everyone's heart, cause moments of friendship and togetherness gains a unique taste when shared along with good food.

Post lunch was all fun games, most of which were couple-games like pepero, paper passing with kiss and such. It was fun to both watch and play those idiotic games and everyone down the stage was having their fangirl and fanboy moments watching their favorite couple get crushed in awkward situations. All the couples were playing along so well but Chanyeol's heart wasn't at ease, every time Baekhyun gets closer, the rush he felt inside was no joke. He tried to push those complicated feelings aside and behave professionally like he always did, but he was getting more and more pissed off when he felt like Baekhyun was being calm and unbothered, at least that's what he thought.

'look Chanyeol you can't behave this way.' splashing some cold water on his sweaty face he tried to concentrate. 'you got a whole three months of promotions to do and you can't bring the distance between you two with your strange behavior.' breathing in and out continuously he tried his best to return to the rational state. 'get it together Loey. Get it together.' thumping his heart hard with his fist he walked out of the restroom like some militant.

Finally, the most awaited part has come. It's almost airing time and the whole crew gathered at the huge screen to watch the final result of their months of hard work.

From the second it started to the very end it was chaotic with the screens and loud comments. Everyone was satisfied to see how it turned out and they couldn't stop praising the editing team's crucial efforts.

The party hasn't ended even after that. The views recorded were nearly double than what they expected and their happiness knew no bounds. So, the party escalated to a large number of drinks and loud music which continued for a really long time. No one even remembered how they even managed to get dispersed at that late hour. Many of the actors including Chanyeol and Baekhyun engaged substitute drivers, some called their friends to pick them, some hoovered into taxis, and many others just passed out somewhere inside the resort.

That was a memorable day with an incredible amount of fun fitted in, but Baekhyun paid for it the next day with a terrible headache and vomiting. It was all Chanyeol's fault, as the giant kept on pushing him to have a glass after the other even when Baek explained how weak he was in holding the alcohol. It took two complete days for that poor puppy to fully recover from the hangover.

The promotions were the best part, they received huge love from many people and the meet and greet event's tickets were all sold out every single time they announce it. There were a lot of places they were invited to and they've given a lot more interviews.

There were times where looking at that cheering crowd, Baekhyun felt undeserved, 'cause he only took six months of acting classes and got into a great project with an experienced partner just in a single audition. And at those times his heart gets filled with thankfulness towards his supporters and most importantly to the precious giant next to him. Baekhyun couldn't even imagine doing all that acting with any other man, he couldn't replace Chanyeol even in his thoughts.

Sometimes he felt special because of Chanyeol's possessive and love-filled actions, but again from the start, he has been trying hard not to let his heart get wavered by the little wind that doesn't last long. And he was quite aware of Chanyeol's similar interactions with his costars, he's just too good at making people feel loved. There were countless nights Baekhyun stayed up watching Chanyeol and his previous dramas partners moments on YouTube, they were like plenty of videos and he made up his mind not to be the first one to break their friendship. With all this mess in his head, he contemplated his potential of continuing as an actor.
