The Tell

I'm headed to the video store because mom wanted us to have a girls night. So I was headed to get a movie while she cooked the food. I really couldn't think because my mind was on the fact that I was in love with Derek.

I know that I'm only sixteen and that he was three years older than me and that he was werewolf. But there is something about him that draws me in.  I feel like I could trust him and that no matter what he would protect me.

When I got to the video store it was surrounded by cops and an ambulance. Then I saw Stiles standing by his father's car.

"Stiles!" I yelled.

"Sky." Stiles said.

"What happened here?" I asked.

"The Alpha.  He killed a guy and attacked Jackson." Stiles said.

"Really? " I asked and he nodded.  I looked around and looked at the top of the building across the street. There stood Derek and Scott. 

I looked away as Stiles started to talk. "I'm going yo check on Lydia. "

"Okay." I said and hugged Stiles.

I got to school the next day and went up to Allison, who just arrived at her locker.

"Hey." I said.

"Hey." Allison smiled and opened her locker.

Balloons came floating out and she looked at them in horror and then started pushing them back in her locker.

"Let me gues it's your birthday and Lydia put them in your locker but you don't want people to know that it's your birthday." I guess.

"Yes, please don't tell anyone." She said then my brother walked.

"I'll see you guys later." I said.

"Just a friendly reminder, perent/teacher conferences are tonight," Mr. Harris said. "Students below a 'C' average, are required to attend. I won't name you, because the shame and self-disgust should be more than enough punishment."

He looked around, "Has anyone seen Scott McCall?"

I knew that Scott probrably went somewhere with Allison since it's her birthday but I wasn't going to tell him that.

The classroom door opened and Jackson walked in. Mr. Harris walked over to him once he sat down and said something to him.

"Everyone start reading chapter nine. Mr. Stilinski. Try putting the highlighter down between paragraphs. It's Chemistry not a coloring book." Mr. Harris said.

The class laughed and I watched as Stiles looked at Mr. Harris then shoot his highlighter cap out of his mouth and into his hand. I smiled and shook my head at him.

I sat beside Danny and I heard Stiles talking to him. "Danny, can I ask you a question?"

"No." Danny said.

"Well, I'm going to anyway." I rolled my eyes. "Um, did Lydia show up in your homeroom today?" Stiles asked.

"No." Danny said.

"Can I ask you another question?" Stiles asked Danny.

"The answer is still no." Danny said.

"Does anyone know what happened to her and Jackson last night?" Stiles asked.

"He wouldn't tell me." Danny said.

"But h's your best friend." Stiles said.

I could tell that the statement that Stiles just made upset Danny.

"Quick question." Stiles said.

"What?" Danny asked annoyed.

"Do you find me attractive?" Stiles asked. My eyes go wide. What in the hell?

Danny looked confused and thrown off but that. Stiles started leaning forward waiting on his answer which resulted in him falling off his chair. I snickered.

After school Stiles went over to Lydia's and I headed home.

About an hour later, my phone went off.

Get over to my house, now. Lydia, caught the Alpha on video.

 I rushed over to Stiles house and when I got to there he looked pissed. "I've tried calling Scott but he has his phone turned off."

"Really? Well, so Lydia managed to catch the alpha on video?" I asked.

"Yeah, when I got there she was really out of it from the medication they gave her. She fell asleep and her phone went off so I checked it and it was a text message. I was going to read it but she had a video on the phone and I ended up playing it. That's when I saw it." He handed me his phone and showed me the video.

You only saw a second of it but if you paused it you could see it's red eyes and all. I gasped in shock. "How the hell did she end up catchting that?"

"I don't know. I was trying to call Scott to show him but he's not answering." After a few minutes Stiles deleted the video.

Stiles put his head down anmd didn't notice his dad walk in until the door squeaked. He jumped and made "Uh" noise.

"Please tell me I'm going to hear good news at this parent/teacher thing tonight." Stiles' dad says.

"Depends on how you define good news." Stiles said.

"I define it as getting straight A's with no behaviorly issues." He said.

"You might want to rethink that definision Mr. Stilinski." I said.

"Enough said." He said and left. I could tell Stiles was upset about Scott not answering the phone.

That night Stiles dad got hurt and Mr. Argent shot a moutain lion. Stiles was real upset with his whole dad thing. He was mad at Scott.
