The Black and Gold Team welcomes you to our Community's very first writers' prompt contest!
BG Creatives: Prompts is the book through which our Community will host monthly writers' prompt contests. This promptbook was conceptualized to help writers exercise their writing abilities and overcome writing hurdles. A healthy competition with some amazing prizes and fun prompts!
♦♦ HOW IT WORKS ♦♦
Every month, we will provide a phrase which will act as your prompt. You are required to produce a short story, a poem, or an essay from said prompt. Your work must have at least 1,000 but should not have more than 5,000 words.
Once you have finished your story, you have two options on how you can submit your work to us:
A: send it to us via email at blackandgold235@gmail.com with the following specifics:
Please tag us in that particular chapter I.e BGCommunity.
In either case, please comment on the chapter for the specific month which you entered in once you have submitted or published your work using the following format:
Done. (Emailed/Published) (Title of your work)
Please be sure to follow the instructions above so that we may be able to trace your work.
Winners will be announced soon after.

There will be a First, Second and Third Place winners. Each of the winning authors will be featured in our Community's magazine, The Gazette, for a chance to promote themselves and their books.
The winning authors will also receive a shout-out from our Community social media and winning stickers!

Please do not forget to: (1) follow our Community account; (2) add our Community Notice Board and Community Book to your library and reading list as announcements regarding the contests may be coursed through these means.
