Chapter 3

It was a lovely weather, around 5p.m, the sun made it look like the whole world was orange. There was complete silence, just the way I like it, no annoying bird sounds, no breeze buzzing in your ears and making your hair  a mess, the clouds were a light pink and the trees were greener than they were ever before. Yet it was still a little chilly.

I standed on my balcony looking over the training field, where just a few moments ago were soldiers training and showing off their muscular bodies, I watched them from up high without them noticing, criticizing their movements and their lack of attention. I made a mental list of everything that we could do better. Because when the time of battle comes, there will be no mercy shown by the enemy, and just that small lack of attention can make a difference.

I closed my eyes, stretched my shoulders and leaned my head back. My hair was loose ,and thanks to the cold breeze(that now arrived), it was all over the place, but I couldn't care less I had more important stuff to be worried about.

As I was standing there I felt someone making its way up to me, and without thinking twice I knew it was Mike. I didn't bother opening my eyes. We stood there, I with eyes closed with mike next to me, enjoying the silence.

'Your frown is turning deeper' mike's deep voice then said. It didn't sound like he was joking or asking, just stating a fact.

I chuckeled. And opened my eyes too see Mike looking at the trajning field.

Mike laughed with me and put his arm around my shoulder. I leaned my head against him. I moved a little my position to get comfortable.

'Quite a nice view you've got here, now I understand why you stand here 24/7, and called dibs on this small room. I already thought it was weird for a girl to want the smallest room in the house.' Mike smirked.

'Not as stupid as I look right?'

'No need to exaggerate now.'

I elbowed him in the ribs, Mike cursed while I started laughing.

'The view is absolutely gorgeous I agree.'  Mike and I went queiet for the next 8 minutes.

'Has he called or contacted you in any way?' Mike then asked carefully. I took my time to answer him.

'No...he hasn't.' 'Glad to tough.' I added when Mike didn't answer.

'Do you think he is telling the truth about the whole..you know, the whole..' I cutted him off. 'No. He is not, he is a liar, we all know that. A liar, he manipulates and brainwashes people into thinking lies.' 'He cannot be trust, we should not let him show our doubts, it's a weakness.' Again we went quiet for a moment.

I was about to turn around and leave the balcony, when Mike grapped my hand. He looked me straight in the eyes, something I absolutely hated. 'What if he's not? What if he's not lying? We all know what will happen once you turn 21, the moment you touch and..' I pulled my hand out of his grap.

'But he is. The guy doesn't know me, only by profile and pictures, I have never seen the guy in my life before, neither does he ever seen me. He is just claiming thinks so we get distracted, get your out the clouds Evans before it's to late.' And with that I turned around and left mike alone once I was almost at the door I turned around.

'And if, if he is talking the truth....I will make sure that he doesn't touch me once I'm 21. We all know what happens after.'

'You can't do that Ann, all he has to do is just a slight touch on skin to make you feel the same way about him.'

I continued walking until I touched the door,

'Then he has to find me first.' was what I toughed once I opened the door and entered the house.
