Tanner had been thinking of a plan for hours, “How..how..how could I just show Butchy that i'm not just a weak little surfer dude. That i'm better than he thinks..” he paced around his room, thinking out loud. Just then, it hit him! He would show Butchy that he’s cool. He would get his best friend, Layla the biker girl to help him. The surfers and bikers didn’t know they were friends because they were on opposite sides, but they kept their friendship a secret. He knew that Layla knew how to build engines for bikes or something, so he would ask if she could teach him, then he would be able to impress Butchy.
Tanner got their lunch for takeout at Big Momma’s, then brought it to his house and invited Layla over.
“I need to show him.” Tanner said to Layla before taking a sip of his pop.
“Well sure. You’re trying to show him that you’re better than he thinks you are even though right now what he thinks you are is not what you want him to think, which is why you need to prove that you’re better. I know that feeling.” Layla sighed and looked away, remembering how she used to always try to impress Tanner. She looked back at him, “Fixing a broken engine is the best way to do that,” she put her hand on his shoulder, “and I could totally help you.”
Tanner squealed and hugged Layla tight, “Thanks Lay, you’re the best!”
Once Tanner had learned the basics, he was set, and ready to show Butchy what he could do. He started getting nervous, and began to replay that moment in his head when Butchy pushed him. He remembered his face, and his eyes and his lips and oh shoot he realized he wasn’t just doing this to get back at the hot biker, he was doing this to impress him. Butchy pulled into the bike shop with a groan, “It’s busted again. I ju-” He looked up and was surprised by who he saw standing next to the tool cabinet, “Well well well. If it isn’t the shrimp. What are you doing here?” He chuckled, approaching the surfer.
“Uh- I- I’m here to f-fix your bike?” Tanner said nervously as his cheeks flushed pink.
“Oh yeah?” Butchy questioned, “Show me what you got.”
Tanner stood frozen, intimidated by the tall biker.
Butchy snickered, “Yeah, that’s what I thought.” Then turned and began to walk away.
“Wait!” Tanner exclaimed. “I-I can do it. Watch me.” He said, then grabbed the necessary tools. He bent down and fixed the engine in literally one second.
Butchy was amazed. His jaw dropped after the now suddenly super hot surfer fixed his engine, “Wow, you're suddenly like, super hot.” Butchy said to Tanner.
Tanner blushed and looked away, “Thanks you are also super hot.”
Butchy pulled Tanner close and pressed their lips together and they started making out.
