This book is a stand alone and it is not necessary to have read Book 1 first; however, it is always better to read the entire series to fully understand all characters (secondary ones included)
The original versions of the stories in this series are slowly being edited and rewritten in some cases. Book 1, which is currently available on my profile, is the new and final version. This version of Book 2 (In the middle of it all), is the current new rewrite of the old book 2.
The current Book 3 (The Marriage Contest) is an old, unedited version. If you still wish to read it, you can as the plot is not specific to events in this book.
