Alex's POV
ryan cheated on me. before he could explain himself i ran upstairs in tears and flopped onto the bed. i loved him more than anyone and i couldn't let him go but it was going to be extremely difficult for me to forgive him. i looked down at my ring and took it off my finger. i wasn't going to put it back on until he redeemed himself. as i lay back down again i heard ryry come upstairs and he knocked on the bedroom door
"a-alex can i come in...please?"
"fine.." he opened the door
"look i'm really sorry and you're the love of my life i only want you!" i cut him off
"then why did you do it ryan? why did you go fuck someone else huh tell me" i was raging
"i didn't fuck anyone. i kissed someo-" he continued
"THAT MAKES IT ALL BETTER DOESNT IT!?" i shouted in anger
"alex please stop shouting and listen to me" ryan said moving over on the bed
"fine go on" i huffed
"i was at a work party and yeah i was a little drunk but this guy had been eyeing me up for like twenty minutes straight which was fine until he came over. he literally came up to my friend and i and started trying to dance with me. he leans in to kiss me and i kissed him b-back it's my fault. after it happened i immediately felt like shit and left i felt so guilty and i still do. i'm sorry i really am" he spoke while crying, i wiped his tears
"i believe you but it's gonna take some time for me to forgive you" i looked at him and he nodded "i understand"
i stood up and left the room. my heart was still broken and I was still really upset so I decided to go for a walk to clear my head I took out my phone and called my best friend, brook.
"brook can i come over i need a distraction" i said
"yeah course what's up?" he said concerned
"i'll explain when i get there thank you" i hung up
I arrived at Brooks and told him everything. He. Was. Shock. He gave me the biggest hug and try to come for me while I was sobbing. This is why he was my best friend he's always there.
"wait what if he only came back to apologise what if he didn't want to see me. oh n-" i panicked
"he came back because he loves you alex" broom said rubbing my shoulder "it's okay it's gonna be fine" he reassured me
"thank you" i hugged him tightly
