Surprise!

Being "fresh meat" in the backstage area is like being an insecure, pubescent teenage boy in high school. It sucks. Plain and simple. None of the roster have ever really seen me wrestle, and they think the only reason I'm here is because of my parents. I've learned from my mom that the only thing to do in these situations is act like you know what your doing.

I scan the area looking for someone, anyone. I finally spot April, or AJ Lee as the WWE Universe knows her. We make eye contact and we both smile at each other. She's the only person who
I've ever really talked to in depth.
She helped train me. She talked my parents into letting me debut as sort of a "surprise" for everyone.

I laugh abruptly as she starts skipping over to me. I tease her all the time about her gimmick. She's so hard not to like even when she's a heel.

"Hey girl! So are you ready for your first match up?"
"As ready as I can be I guess."
"Do you know who you're up against yet?"
"Yeah, Paige."
"Oh boy. Come on let's go get you ready!"
Paige is one of the most skilled divas WWE has seen in a while. My parents are being hard on me to show everyone that I am here because I'm just as good as them. But I'm not sure of that's true.
