Gun and Jane weren't the best parents' role models because they couldn't deal well with their daughter's anger. No talks could solve the problem. The conflict was getting out of control causing Ratana furiously moving out of the house after one of the fights.

She literally threatened them she would flight abroad to marry her only love, even without their consent.

That's why they desperately needed the solution and Jane spoke out loud the last idea that came into her head -  talking with their daughter's fiance's father. Off.

He was their last hope.

Gun didn't want to hear any of that but she continued to explain that Off could be more of a strict parent than them and could influence Paitoon, forbid him to meet with Ratana or find any other possible way to not let that marriage happen. The situation was crazy. Knowing Gun's and Off's history, Jane even suggested she might go to talk with Off alone but Gun found that idea much crazier and absurd.

It took him one week before he gathered the courage to meet with Off who tried to contact him in different ways but Gun always managed to successfully avoid him. If that could help split their children's relationship, he will do it, he will meet Off one last time and have a polite talk with him.

That was then, but now he felt really anxious waiting for Off in the restaurant they choose. He wanted to stay calm but it was difficult. Having the worst scenarios in his mind he nervously played with his ring.

" I thought you'll be late."

Gun rose his head to see Off looking at him surprised. Well, it was like 20 minutes before their set hour. They both came too early.

" My business meeting... it finished earlier." Gun cleared his throat and drank the water, trying to hide his nervousness. Seeing that Off was just gazing at him, examining his reaction he politely said. " Sit down, please."

The tall guy's lips rose in a slight smile and he took a seat in front of him. There was an awkward silence. Gun's mind suddenly went blank and he couldn't find any reasonable way to start their conversation. He felt Off's eyes stuck to him and that made him more desperate to speak anything.

" What do you want to order? I can recomm-" Gun pointed at the menu that was on the table.

" You dye it?" Off reached his hand to touch the small guy's soft black hair.

Gun flinched, rose his head and leaned against the chair. Off took back his hand but still continued to stare at Gun's face with a mixed expression.

" Why did you do it?"

" What?" Gun snapped hearing the accusation tone. Was that bastard thinking he can touch him now?!

" Back then. Why did you leave me?"

Off was looking carefully in Gun's eyes and saw the pain, sadness, and hesitance hidden in them.

Gun broke off the stare and answered. " You know why. I've told you already."

~~retrospection 2020~

" We should break up."

The biggest fear became reality. Off felt his stomach shrinking as he was hearing more of that nonsense talk. He held his phone tighter and just managed to let out a helpless "why?" because the seriousness in Gun's voice scared him too much to speak anything else.

" I... don't think we're good together Papii."

What...? They did have a worse time for about three months because Off was working abroad but he couldn't forecast something like this to show up.  He didn't understand it. He couldn't understand it. How his Gun who was always clinging on him was telling him something cruel like this through the phone... Breaking up? There's no way...
