Chapter 12 Yuuki (Ship chapter so prepare for feels)

Yuu
(Yes, I brought him back!)
"Yuu!"
Seiko's voice rang out from downstairs, waking me from a light nap. My eyes still droopy, I stumble downstairs, where my sister stands at the front door. Yuki, Tokiko, and Ryou all stand outside.
My heart skips a beat as I register Yuki. I give a nervous smile, and skip downstairs to join them.
"What are you guys doing here?" I ask. Tokiko's face spreads into a grin. "We wanted to play, duh!"
I snorted. I loved her cute humour. I join them outside, and Seiko tells us to stay off the road. We nod our heads quickly, and close the door.
"What do you guys want to play?" Ryou asks.
"Ooh, how about manhunt?" I suggest. Yuki's face lights up. "Yeah! I bet I'm faster than all of you!"
"Nuh-uh!"
With me "it", I chase them around the street. Tokiko is the easiest to catch.
"Got you!" I exclaim, landing a pat on her shoulder. Tokiko shrieks in surprise, but turns tail a second later and goes to catch Ryou.
"Hey Yuu!" Yuki cries. She stands in the middle of the road, dancing from one foot to the other. She smiles challengingly.
"Come an get me~!"
I begin to sprint towards her, and she runs away immediately. 15 seconds later, I'm exhausted.
I stop in the road, and call a Time-Out. Yuki laughs in victory, and comes to join me.
"Couldn't catch me, eh?"
I shake my head with a smile. I lift my head, and notice something that made my blood stop.
A car zoomed towards me and Yuki. The panicked driver within gestured madly for us to get out of the way. Seeing the dangerous situation before us, I do the one thing I could thing of.
I push Yuki out of the way.
I shut my eyes tight, and wait for the pain. There's a screech, but I'm only flung back a couple steps as the car hits.
I topple backwards, and land hard on my back. My head stings and swims, but I'm okay.
"Yuu!"
I hear fast footsteps, and somebody kneels beside me. I groggily open my eyes to a teary-faced Yuki, and she flings herself on me in a hug.
"Yuu! You idiot! Why would you do that? Youcould've been killed!" She sobs. Tokiko and Ryou stand on my lawn a couple feet back, watching the scene in horror.
I hear a door opening. My sister comes out, and screams once she sees me lying on the road.
"Yuu!"
She darts out onto the road, panic flooding her face.
"I'm okay, I'm okay." I mumble as she nears. Seiko sobs with relief.
"Oh, thank god! What happened?" She asks.
"W-we were p-playing m-manhunt, and a c-car came and I w-was out on the r-road and Yuu p-pushed me out of the w-way. It's m-my fault he got hit!" Yuki sobs. "Please don't be mad!" She begs.
Seiko looked at the crying girl. Her panicked expression softened.
"Don't cry, Yuki. It's okay!" She cooes, patting her on the back. Yuki sniffles, but her tears stop.
"I'm sorry Yuu. I wish I hadn't one out onto the road." She apologizes to me.
"It's okay!" I reply, sitting up and rubbing my head.
Yuki gives me a big hug. My cheeks flood with redness as her arms embrace me.
She smells good, I think.
I see Seiko's smiling face. She puts both her hands on her cheeks in an aww-that's-so-cute- motion. I glare back at her, mentally telling her not to say anything. I know that she'll never let this go.
"YUUKI! YUUKI! Yuu loves Yuki!
Her chant rings in my head, except now there's a ring of truth to it.
I really do love Yuki.
