chapter 10:konan and nagato's wedding.

It was a bright and beautiful morning as the sun was shining and the birds are singing in the village of konoha and it couldn't be a more perfect timing for it to happen. Why you may ask???. It's simple really.
Today was the day of nagato and konan uzumaki getting married.and unlike most other clans in konoha. The uzumaki clan had always traditionally kept all weddings secret among themselves. The same thing went for the uchiha clan as well. However. That didn't stop the civilian council from trying to gain access to the wedding uninvited. The only people who were invited to the wedding were close friends and family. Naturally Kushina wanted to invite all of her old friends but sadly she couldn't. Naruto told her that she could invite Hiashi hyuga Mikoto uchiha Itachi Uchiha and shisui uchiha along with her friend mebuki Haruno and her daughter Sakura haruno and the heiress of the hyuga clan Hinata hyuga. But no more then that. So with all the invitations sent days before hand and all the people who were invited to the wedding in attendance it was time for the wedding to begin as Kushina uzumaki did the proceedings and naruto had shadow clones guard the entire compound Kushina then walked up to the podium and said.

"Dearly beloved. We are gathered here today to witness the union of konan and Nagato uzumaki. If there is anyone here who is against why they should be wed speak now or forever hold your peace."

Nobody spoke as Kushina looks over the crowd of people and continued saying.

"Do you konan take nagato uzumaki to be your lawfully wedded husband. In sickness and in health till death do you part???."

And konan said as the uzumaki clan symbol that was drawn on her arm glowed.

"Now and forever. I do."

Kushina then said.

"And do you nagato uzumaki take konan to be your lawfully wedded wife so long as you may live???."

And Nagato said.

"Even in death. I shall."

The same Mark on nagato glowed for a brief moment as the "seal of matrimony"
Began to permanently become a part of their skin.
Kushina then continued and said.

"Then as the Head of the uzumaki clan I Kushina uzumaki declare you husband and wife. You may now kiss the bride."

And so after sharing their first kiss as a married couple the seal of matrimony on their skin became permanent signifying that konan's status as part of the uzumaki clan was now official. Naruto couldn't have been happier for them and as much as he'd like to find his own source of happiness as well he had more pressing matters to attend. The chunin exams were in one month and he had to make sure that Sakura and Hinata were prepared for anything. By the time he was done training them. Kakashi would most likely be demanding an explanation for how they became so strong. Naruto then congratulated konan and Nagato on their marriage and hoped that they would always remain happy together. Konan decided that now was as good a time as any to tell the family their biggest news ever. On top of being married konan was already six weeks pregnant with nagato's child. Konan then said.

"May I have the entire uzumaki clan gathered inside the compound while everyone else stays here???.
There's something we need to discuss."

The entire uzumaki clan then went inside and locked all the doors and windows and put up silencing seals. After that was done konan then said.

"Everyone... nagato and I are having a baby. I'm pregnant with his child for six weeks now and we were thinking that... well. Naruto.... will you be our child's God father???.
And will you be the God mother Karin???."

Naruto and Karin were speechless yet excited at the same time. Naruto then said.

"Nagato.. konan. I would be honored to be your child's God father. What about you Karin???."
