You're the only One

New Years

     "How much longer Jey?" 

     "A minute and 27 seconds." 

     Benji grabbed the half empty can of seltzer from the night stand and took a sip. "Are you excited?"

     "I don't know." Jorge replied looking out the window. "I guess."

     "I am, wanna know why?" Benji chuckled, looking at the way the moonlight illuminated his boys pale skin. 

     "Sure."

     "Because I'm starting my new year with you." Jorge smiled, closing his eyes contently as he wrapped himself up in one of Benji's sweatshirts. 

     "You're a sap Benjamin."

     "Time?" Jorge checked his watch, only a few seconds longer until his 2020 began.

     "The sky is beautiful tonight Benji, look out at it with me." Jorge said, leaning his head against the cool glass. Benji followed suit, and in the dark room Jorge could see the way the moon hid in the older boys eyes.  

     "5" Jorge started.

     "4" Benji murmured.

     "3"

     "2"

     "1"

     Both boys turned to their phones and pressed their lips against the screens, giggling as they pulled away. Benji heard Jorge's family on the other end cheering in a different room, while Jorge sat alone with the lights turned off in his. 

     "Thanks for staying up with me, even though you technically already celebrated the new year."

     "It's not that much of a time difference." Benji said, "I wish you were here though, I was really looking forward to that new years kiss."

     "We only have to wait a few more weeks, then I'll give you a hell of a lot more than a kiss." Jorge said with a wink, making Benji laugh.

      "I'm counting down the days baby. Does your family want you down now?"

      "Probably, they knew I wanted to spend new years with you though." Jorge pulled the hood of the shirt Benji left behind over his head. "Let's just have a few more minutes."

     "I can stay for as long as you need."

     "I love you Benji."

     "I love you too Jorge."

     The boys sat by their windows, underneath the same sky that held the same moon that danced on both of their faces. 

Hi everyone! I know I haven't uploaded in a bit and this is super short but I did want to post a little something for new years even though it's technically late but whatever. I hope you all had a super fun start to 2020!!! Also I'm working on a part 2 for my summer camp story since you guys seemed to like it, and I'm also working on like 10 other one shots and maybe even a Benjey chapter fic but that may be a little ambitious lol. Sorry I can't really upload regularly, I've got a million things happening in my life right now but I really enjoy writing so I'm gonna try to continue as best I can. Anyways, have a great new year and remember: Happy JeyJey and Benji or you have no rights <3
