Chapter Six: Someone I Use To Know

Y/N POV

It's been days since I saw kris. He hasn't tried to call or go by my home. Jimin did say he will talk to him. I close my locker and turn to see Lisa and Jennie.

So what are we gonna do for your birthday? Lisa asked. I don't feel like celebrating this year. I answered. But you said that last year and the year before that. We have to celebrate this year. You're turning 18, Jennie said.

Do you think Jimin knows about your birthday? Lisa said. Speaking of the devil, he's right there. Jennie said, looking at jimin across the hall heading our way.
Maybe I should tell him just in case. Lisa said walking toward him slowly. Mocking me a little.

Don't you dare. I don't want anyone to know. I said. Lisa started to run up to him and tell him. I grabbed my bag and headed to class. Ignoring Jennie trying to talk to me.

I walk into math class and sit in my usual seat. I saw Jimin walking in and our eyes met. I put my head down on the desk and try to cover my face with a book.

Jimin grabbed the book away from me. Your book was upside down. Jimin said looking at me. I look down at my hands. Not knowing what to do.

What's wrong y/n? Jimin asked, setting the book down on my desk. What did Lisa tell you? I said. She said your birthday was coming. And you don't like to celebrate it so she wants me to change your mind, Jimin said.

So are you gonna change my mind? I asked. Why would I. I don't like to celebrate mine either. Jimin answered, sitting down in the desk next to my right side.

The bell rings as the teacher enters the room. Class, today we're going to talk about different stories. The first story is about your other half or your soul mate. As most people call it. The teacher said.

He grabs a stack of papers. Hands it to the front row so we can take one and pass it back. When you have a packet, go to the front page and follow along while I read. The teacher explains.

In the beginning, humans had two faces, four arms and four legs. Fearing that humans may be too powerful. God struck them with lightning to split them into two. From then on, humans have spent their lives searching for their missing half.

The story got me thinking. If you have a chance to find your soul mate then there is a chance that Soonyi could have been reincarnated. Do you believe in past lives? Taehyung asked.

I don't even believe in the life I'm currently living. I answered. I told you to not talk about her in front of me. I said.

There are ways to bring someone back from the dead. It mostly involves a witch and spells. Taehyung said. Namjoon doesn't like it when we mess with other supernatural creatures. I said.
