I've decided to try and finish the book in this next week with the encouragement of _the_poisoned_youth_ and many other of my dear readers.
"You're skin is so soft."
I woke up to find myself snuggled into Carter on the couch.
"Yeah" I replied lazily "it helps when someone dumps a gallon of milk on you."
He nodded and nuzzled his head in my neck again.
"Let me up." I mumbled, through the throw pillow my face was currently resting on.
I tried pulling his arm up, but unlike Connor he had muscle.
"Let me go!" I whined and squirmed in his arms.
He wrapped his arms around my body even tighter and started to sing.
"Let her go! Let her go!" I laughed, it looks like the Disney movies last night got to him.
"Ok, seriously off" I gave his arm one last shove and slipped out, landing on my stomach on the soft carpeted floor.
"Ow" I said, even though it didn't hurt to bad.
I groaned as I pulled myself up from the floor and stood up, looking down at Carter I sleepily yawned.
"Are you gonna make breakfast?" He asked
"I may be a prisoner, but I'm not a slave" I rubbed my eyes as I told him, yet still walked into the kitchen.
"What do you want?" I asked, feeling a bit more awake from walking a few feet.
"McDonald's!" He cheered, running up to his room to I assume get fresh clothes on.
"I can't make McDonalds you dimwit!" I called up to him.
"No, I mean get dressed we are going to McDonald's."
I rolled my eyes in annoyance, but deep down I was relieved I didn't have to use any energy to make something, I mean we had stayed up until like four in the morning, now four hours later I woke up at eight.
That is not enough sleep! A girl, especially me needs all the beauty sleep I can get!
I lumbered up the stairs and pulled on some sweatpants and one of Connors hoodies that fit me perfectly, since the boy was so skinny.
I threw my hair into a messy side ponytail and walked down the hall to Carter's room.
"Are you ready?" I asked through a closed door
"Almost!" He called.
I sighed and sat down against the door.
"There is no home like the one you've got because that home belongs to you!" I sung
"Guess what movie Carter!"
"Bolt"
"Yay, you're right next song!"
"I wouldn't have nothing if I didn't have you"
"Monsters inc"
"Yep"
Did you know it takes forever for a boy to get ready?
I mean we've been playing this for like fifteen minutes now.
"Are you ready yet?" I asked getting more irritated by the second.
"Yeah, I'm done. you just seemed really caught up in that game"
I fell back into his room as he opened the door without warning me.
"Jerk! You were just sitting there!"
