Chapter 3

Tamaki POV~ 

'Darkness. All I can see is darkness', I thought as I listened to the mumbles of the people around me. What happened? Is Nejire okay? Is Mirio okay? God, I hope nothing bad happened to him. 

"TAMAKI", I hear someone shout as they burst through the door. But I stay limp. I can't get up. My body won't let me. I can't really make out what they're saying, but I find comfort in their indistinguishable murmuring.

One of the voices is familiar though. 'Wait. Mirio. Mirio's here. He came for me.' I thought as I feel my shoulders become lighter. 'He's okay'. Wonderful.

Mirio POV~

"TAMAKI" I say as I burst through the door.

"Sir, please quite down. Are you a friend of his?" The doctor asks.

"Yes sir" I reply eager to hear the news.

"You might want to sit down for this one kid" the doctor says with a concerned look on his face.

I sit down. 'Will he be okay?' my mind screamed. 

"Tamaki Amajiki's side was punctured severely during the attack at the party. His heart has stopped twice since. He is still alive, but is in critical conditions at the moment."

'Twice? His heart stopped twice?' I thought. 'He's still alive though' a voice in the back of my head whispered.

"He's in a medically induced coma right now so that his body can heal." The doctor went on.

"Oh" I replied.  "Thank you sir" I said as the doctor got up to leave the room.

"That's my job kid" He said warmly as the door shut.

I eagerly rushed to my friend's side, and looked at him. He looked tired. And kind of thin. 'Did he eat a lot before he-' I stopped my self as I felt my vision go blurry and felt warm tears going down my cheeks.

"Tamaki, I'm so sorry" I whispered. "I was supposed to protect you, but I couldn't even do that. I'm so pathetic." I said as I sobbed silently into his hospital bed.

Tamaki POV~

I couldn't hear the noise any more. 'Am I dying?' I thought. Then I sensed something come towards me and lay on my cot.

"Tamaki, I'm so sorry" I heard the voice whisper. 'Mirio' I thought."I was supposed to protect you, but I couldn't even do that. I'm so pathetic." he said.

'Mirio, my sun, why would you say that. I'm so sorry for being weak and being injured in the first place. Love of my life..' I thought ' I am so sorry for worrying you. Your so perfect, i'm the pathetic one. So pathetic.." 

Mirio POV~

 I cried until I had no tears left. "I'm not leaving" I said. "Not again" I said as my body succumbed to sleep.

Two weeks time skip ~

Tamaki POV~

Mirio has been coming in for the past two weeks. He just comes in, like we're hanging out. He does his homework, plays on his phone, and whispers sweet nothings to me until time is up, and then he has to go. His company is probably what has kept me alive for the last few weeks. I dread when he has to leave though. I want to wake up to talk to him, and reassure him i'm okay, or that i'll wake up and come home. But being asleep isn't so bad, in a sense. I don't have to talk to anyone, which sadly means Mirio as well, but at least then I won't be awkward around him.

He'll come in like usual today, but today feels different. I can feel it. As soon as he opens that door, I want to spring to life and hug him. I've missed him. God I've missed him. So so much. 

I plan on doing that.' He'll be here any minute.' I said as I smiled. I sat upwards and looked around. The room was a bright yellow, with moon and sun decals over it. 

"Kind of like me and Mirio" I whispered, my voice hoarse from lack of water. 

I was about to ring the bell for the nurse, but as soon as I reach for the call button, I heard the door open..
