I cleaned Devara's wounds as she hiss in pain. I sighed deeply as I looked at her wound. We had to rip her clothing which she is very angry about since she liked it and its her battle clothing.

"Calm down, I'll buy you a new one." I told her and she glares at me before staying quiet. I wrapped a cloth around her waist to cover the would and to make sure its not tight enough for her to suffocate.

"I can do it." She tells me trying to get my hand away, but I held her wrist.

"I'm doing it. You got yourself hurt and I am upset about that." I sighed and I could feel her eyes on me as I glance up.

"Why?" She asked softly and I looked down towards my work and patched it.

"Your my partner. Don't want you dying on me." I told her and I could see slight pain before she masked it with a blank expression quickly.

"Right." She mumbles and sighs laying down gently, but I helped her.

"I'm hungry." The princess complains and I sighed as I stood up grabbing my sword. She will keep complaining like the time we were walking.

"I'll be back." I told them walking away from camp. I looked around to see if I can find any berries or animal for food. I then saw a deer eating as I made my way towards it and threw my sword like it was a spear. Once the deer was pierced with my sword, I walk towards it and started cutting it up and skinning it for fur to sell. After I was done, I walked back to camp and saw a berry bush which made me inspect it.

I grabbed a handful and putting them in my pocket before walking. After I was close, I hear talking causing for me to slow my pace and stopped to listen.

"What does he see in you?" The princess hiss.

"Why are you asking me?" Devara asked like she doesn't really care.

"The Witcher is a famous magnificent person from what I heard and you were with him. A lowly ugly peasant that shouldn't be with someone famous." The princess tells her and I clenched my fist sighing deeply trying to regain my anger.

"Do you kiss your father with that mouth?" I heard her ask making me chuckle a bit.

"Don't talk to like that. I am princess Anastasia of-" She was cut by Devara.

"Of sucking too much gold that would get them killed any day. You are lucky that I can't get up and punch you in the face right now, princess. Cause I am so close to killing you that your father will know that you died before we even get to you. Royal or not, you are nothing, but a pathetic human who's only power is wealth and slaving people." Devara growls making me smirk more.

"That's my girl. Even if she doesn't want me." I sighed and walk to camp with a blank expression.

"I have venison and some berries." I told them as I crouch down and went to cook the venison. I placed the fur in Roach's saddle bag before walking towards Devara to see if she's okay.

"Mind if I see the berries?" Devara asked and I took out two and hand it to her. She looks at it for a moments before she slowly gets up making me aid her.

"I'm only wounded on the side, I don't have broken legs." She tells me. Yet. I thought as I watch her inspect it. She starts taking her cloth off and I became curious on what she's doing.

"What are you doing?" I asked and she ignores me as she takes it off fully. I watched her squish the berries and put it on her wound as she hisses a bit.

"Damn it!" She whispered yelled and I held her shoulder to make sure she doesn't fall. She held onto mine for support before removing her hand seeing her would healed leaving only the stains of the berries she crushed.

"Your a witch?!" Anastasia shouted loudly making me look at her before looking towards Devara.

"Shut it, you'll attract monsters on our way." Devara hissed and Anastasia's eyes widen as she looks around. I looked at Devara with a raised eyebrow only for her to shake her head.

"Don't ask. I'm already annoyed with her attitude and high-pitch voice." She sighs making me chuckle softly before looking at her seeing her staring at me.

"What?" I asked her.

"You should smile more, then wearing your signature smirk. Your smile fits your face." She tells me before standing up and walking towards the fire while I stayed still trying to process what she said before smiling and rubbing my chin.

"Do you have anymore of those berries?" I heard her ask and I stood up walking next to her.

"Yeah, why?" I looked and she held her hand out as I give her some more before handing some towards Anastasia who gave me a seductive smile that seems ugly on her face.

I walked back to Devara trying not to show disgust as I see her eating some berries holding a laughter. I glared at her making her cover her mouth to stop before she squishes the rest and pours the juices on the cooking venison.

"It adds flavor." She tells me and I nodded my head as we sat down and I watch her cooking. I felt an arm hooked under mine as I looked towards the source to see Anastasia next to me.

"Sooo, when we get back home, will you stay with me for a while?" She looks at me as I looked towards Devara seeing her watching the venison, but I knew she was listening to us.

"I can't Lady Anastasia, I need to travel to help people." I told her as she pouts.

"It will only be for a few days and I could show you what I can do inside my chambers." She bites her lip as I cleared my throat and looked towards Devara to see her still watching the venison, but her hands are clenched.

"Pretty please, I'll give you coins that would worth your while." She whispers into my ear as I felt her hand slowly go up my thigh.

"Thank you for the offer, but I don't sell my body just for coins." I told her and stood up leaving her be as she huffed angrily before I sat next to Devara. She stares at the venison with her as I slowly placed my hand on her thigh.

"Calm down." I told her and she sighs softly as she slowly unclenches her fist, but kept her eyes on the fire. I expected her to remove my hand away from her thigh, but she doesn't.

I laid at the cloth staring up the dark sky before looking towards Devara who is next to me. I turned my body to face her before wrapping my arms around her gently as I turned her around to see tears in her eyes, but her eyes were closed shut.

"Hey." I whispered and she slowly opens them and looked at me. I caressed her cheeks softly still staring into her eyes.

"You alright?" I asked her worried and she nods her head a little.

"Yeah, just...had a nightmare about the battle." She lied, but I didn't push it. I slowly kissed her head softly still caressing her cheek as I felt her warm ones on mine.

"I'm here." I told her and pulled her close to me. I sighed and held her close as she did the same, but tight. I kissed her head again and closed my eyes sighing again while I caress her hair gently.
