Chapter 3: Day I Went

December 21st, 2013

I have to leave it isn't right here, it doesn't seem right, but I can't leave Rena.

I walk with her, clutching her hand
tightly.

My mind is filled with so many different thoughts. I start too squeeze her hand tighter, she stops and stands in front of me, stoping me from walking, "Jas. what's wrong?, I can tell something is bugging you".

I try to keep walking, attempting to dodge Rena, but she returns to stand in front of me.

"I can't tell you. Can we please! Just once! Leave it at that?

I start to walk, but Rena just stands there looking ahead. Watching me walk into the distance.

I stop and turn around, we both just stand their staring at each other.

"Rena. I love you but you have to realise that something's are better you not know. It's safer for you not to know."

"You promised!, no more lies", She says while tears build up in her eyes.

"I want to tell you, so many things, but I can't!", I drop down to the ground not knowing what to say.

Rena turns around to walk away and in those few seconds I had to make the choice.

Either I stay here with Rena and try to protect her or leave and know that she's safe.

I get up and run.

Rena turns back around and I can hear her calling out my name.

I stop and hide behind a tree. I just listen to her calling out my name, but I had to leave. I have to go.

I start to run again ad this time, no stoping, no turning around, I just keep running.
