(EMILY'S POV)

"Yeah she will be fine. Her stomach may hurt some but besides that she is fine." I heard the faint sound of a stranger talking. "Okay thank you mam." then I heard my mum. My eyes started to open slowly and I looked around to see where I was. I was in this pale white room with curtains and surgical equipment everywhere. My stomach hurt just like that woman said. Who was she?

I slowly sat myself up holding on to my irritated stomach and looked around some more. It was a hospital. I was in the hospital again. I don't remember what happened last night..... The last thing I remember was taking some of the pills I stole from my mom. Yeah that's right. I took them right after me and Justin got into a fight. He told me I may as well be dead so I took the chance of trying to kill myself. Attempting to overdose is what I had planned but I guess my mum found me before it was too late.

Mum walked over to me and spoke, "Stomach pumping again Em? Why?"

I didn't know what to tell her. I can't tell her about Justin, or the addiction problems.... I just can't. She wouldn't understand it anyway. And it's a good thing none of my bruises were visible from the night before. But instead of giving her an answer I just turned my head away.

"C'mon time to go home." and she turned away and walked out the door. I had to help myself up and then change into the outfit I had sitting at the end of the bed. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=61584496

I noticed my mum brought my phone aloung with the clothes. 2 text messages from Liam, better see what he said.

FROM: Liam Payneeee!

Hey Em! I hope all is well and you are staying strong. I'm proud you quit all the drugs and nonsense(: text me back soon!

FROM: Liam Payneeee!

Just found out we're coming back from the tour in like 3 days! Can't wait to see you again!(:

Guess I didn't mention that I told Liam I quit the drugs and alcohol. Yeah well I did and I don't plan on telling him about this whole hospital issue too.

I still decided to reply.

TO: Liam Payneeee!

Yes I'm doing much better, thanks for your concern. And I deffff can't wait to see my best mate again(:

I got a quick reply from Liam again.

FROM: Liam Payneeee!

I'm glad Emily. Stay strong, love you. xx

I didn't text back. Instead I just grabbed my stuff and left out the door and down the hallway. Mum had her car pulled up front so it wasn't that long of a walk. I jumped right in and she sped away.

I could tell she has smoked today. The smell of crystal meth lingered on her skin as she sweat out the toxin. She was swerving a bit too, but not enough for anyone else to realize.

"Would you like me to drive?" I asked staring at her shaking body. Meth gives you the shakes.

"No? I'm fine." she snapped.

What a bitch. I try but she pushes me away. The only good thing about today is it's Thursday. Every Thursday I'd head out to my favourite pub in London. And since I don't have a car I have to wait until my mum is completely out of it.

About 10 minutes later we arrived at our flat. It wasn't too nice of a place but it was decent. On my way inside I heard someone yell my name. When I turned around to see who it was, it was Carley my other best mate. She basically threw herself at me and wrapped her arms around my body.

"Oh my gosh Emily are you okay?!" she asked anxiously. I could hear the tears coming.

"Yeah I'm fine." I sighed.

"Emily you seriously need to stop. One day your mum or me or Liam are not going to be able to save you! And goddammit Emily you do not know what I will do if I hear that you are dead." she choked out, but then picked right up, " I understand you're unhappy but you can't be doing this to yourself. Do you really want to die this way? And how dare you let Justin treat you this way?"

"Carley calm fucking down! I'm depressed okay? I don't like how my life is going! That's why I do it. And I love Justin." I scolded.

"Emily please.... just think about everybody else first. What you're doing is selfish. Me and Liam care very much about you and it hurts us to know that this is how you want things to be. Can you please just promise me that you will try to get better?" she asked solemnly.

Her sencerity got to me. "I'm sorry Carls, yes I will try to get better. How about you come to the pub with me tonight and help me watch my drinkning?"

She nodded her head in agreement and we went inside.

* 4 HOURS LATER *

"Hurry up Carley! I usually get down there around this time! And we need to hurry before mum wakes up." I yelled from the bottom of the stairs.

"I'm coming you twat!" she spat out while stomping down the stairs in her heels. "Do I look good?" she asked wanting assurance.

"Yesss you look fine, it's just a damn pub." I answered showing I'm annoyed. I decided to go casual, she decided to go all out. http://www.polyvore.com/cgi/set?id=61588769

We jumped in the car and I drove as fast as possible to the pub. I was just ready to get the alcohol in my system so I could forget last night and this morning. I just wanted to feel free.

Once we got there, I rushed in and over to the bar leaving Carley lost. I needed to down as many shots as I could before she found me.

The bartender knew me well. "Hey Em, what would you like?"

"Erm, just start handing me shots of straight vodka Sal." I said with my head in my hand.

"Sure thing. How ya holding up?" he asked me while filling up some shots for me and others around me.

"Eh alright I guess. I just got out of the hospital this morning. They pumped my stomach again." I said nonchalantly.

"Damn Em. You need to calm down with all of that shit. Drinking is one thing but overdosing is another." he rolled his eyes.

Ugh, I really didn't need to hear this again so I just started tossing back shots.

One after another they brought me closer and closer to the freeness I was craving so hard for.

The feeling of letting go of my thoughts was definitely something I needed right now.

And right when I got to that freeness.... I blacked out.
