Dragon Ninja

Chapter 2

A girl woke up in a cold sweat "I offically hate my brain" she said to herself taking deep breathes trying to calm herself down even if it wasn't working all that well 'stupid dreams, stupid memories, stupid ninja' I though this went on for a few minitues curesing out the world in her head this helped a bit it took her mind off the memory. Glancing at the clock she groaned laying her head back down against the flattened pillow three hours left until she had to go to class knowing sleep wasn't going to be an option she begrudgingly got out of bed dragging her feet against the carpeted floor to the bathroom. Shielding her eyes from the bright light that attacked ehr vision once she flipped on the light "I look like shit" she said to her reflection taking note of the dark circles from not sleeping and rats nest of hair that needed a washing from the oil build up 'nothing concealer won't fix' she thought to herself. Stripping off her clothes, leaving them in a lump on the floor stepped into the hot shower that might burned her skin but she didn't care.

Stepping out of the shower she sighed in relief the hot water relieving some tension she had on her shoulders walking back to her room she decided that dressing up for school was a waste of time more like she was too lazy to pick out something cute for today settled on a grey sweatshirt that was on her dresser and a pair of jeans she grabbed from one of the top drawers. Brushing out her hair she threw a beanie that matched the sweatshirt so she wouldn't have to do her hair. Now that she didn't look like a chick who just got mugged she left the house her old backpack over her right shoulder and keys in left locking the door behind her.

Not even taking four steps from her door a girl with long blonde hair ran up engulfing the surprised (h/c) female in a hug. "You're so mean you weren't even going to wait for me!" the loud girl shouted unaware of the fact that she was suffocating the other female. "Ah! I'm so sorry (Y/n)!" she apologized profusely realizing her mistake "it's fine" (Y/n) said after finally catching her breath the girls name was Katie she was an extremely popular girl at school due to her extremely outgoing personality and good looks. She was (Y/n)'s only real friend she had nowadays but it wasn't by choice Katie kinda latched herself onto the other female, (Y/n) was the sensible one who would go to parties with Katie and make sure she was safe. Didn't go with any creeps or get alcohol poising, essentially the mom friend. Despite their very different personalities they were amazing friends. 

They both started walking forward Katie doing all the talking and (Y/n) making a point here and there "So I wanted to go out this weekend-" Katie started making the implication that she wanted (Y/n) to go with her "we went out last weekend. The whole weekend" the (e/c) eyed female interjected "yeah but there's this really good party going on-" 

"and you got so wasted you spent the whole night with your head in the toilet after puking in some random persons bushes." (Y/n) had an amused smirk on her face as they continued down the concrete path. "Okay BUT this time-"  crashing sounds were heard then a loud scream. "Katie we have to leave" 

"what if someone is hurt we have to go!" The blonde took off down the road she was often putting others above herself which lead to people sometimes taking advantage of her of course (Y/n) usually stopped this, groaning and taking off after her thinking to herself that Katie would get herself killed without her.

The blonde stopped freezing up seeing a creature in the middle of the road tearing apart cars and people alike. It had some human semblance but was pale as death machinery and bits on animal characteristics embedded into it. Having a stinger on it's back you would assume it was part scorpion but it's legs seemed like a spiders you couldn't tell what it was it was straight from a horror movie gone wrong. Katie's breath picking up she started to panic grabbing onto (Y/n) with a death grip terrified. Recognition flashed in (Y/n)'s eyes and pulled Katie down the opposite direction "get out of here now!" she yelled to katie shaking her shoulders snapping her out of whatever stupor she was put into. She nodded wanting to pull (Y/n) with her so they could both be safe "no you get the hell out of here now. I'm going down a back way to get back to your house now!" (Y/n) demanded pushing her "I'll be fine" she added seeing Katie's reluctance "be safe please" she told her running down the road as best she could in her fancy flats.

Turning back to the creature (Y/n) looked in horror 'these things shouldn't exist! I destroyed the last one and blew their base up' she thought running into an alleyway. Once she was in the ally she changed into a black and grey ninja outfit wrapping a scarf around her head so the only thing visible was the top of her head and her eyes. Throwing her hair into a ponytail and shoving her other clothes into her backpack and hiding it behind some boxes she ran out making sure the mark on her arm remained hidden. Keeping to the shadows she made her way back to the war zone the ninja were now fighting that creature; 'well this should be amusing.' she thought to herself as she perched herself on a nearby building at least one that was still not destroyed. The ninja continued to fight the creature hybrid mix of machine, human, and animal. Taking out her phone she took pictures of the battle well mostly the creature wanting to see if it had the logo, the same one as the company that created those things years ago which she was destroyed. a red circle in the shape of a dragon tormented her as she stared down at her phone squeezing it tightly. 'Dammit' she thought again  'i destroyed that base years ago how-' her thought was cut off by a car alarm going off as the blue ninja was thrown into it. She laughing seeing this take place almost losing her balance also feeling slightly bad for him "that's gunna leave a mark" 

"Hey!!! you don't get to though me around like some kind of a toy!!" the blue ninja yelled at the creature. The girl was fighting the urge to laugh again. She admitted to herself that it was hilarious watching the creature wiping the floor with them but even she felt a little bad after watching them for a bit. A femine scream cut off all thought is called (Y/n)'s attention 'that doesn't sound like the ninja, unless it was the blue one' looking around she found the source of the scream she gasped seeing the frightened woman backing away as the creature moved to her jumping off the side of the building (Y/n) brandished a katana landing on the creature before it reached the women slashing its back with the weapon it let out a screech "green bean get the woman out of here!" she ordered as the green ninja came running getting the women out and to safety. Flipping around front she cut a wire that was pumping a green liquid into it. It sprayed everywhere as (Y/n) held up her hands to protect her face as the acid like consistency burned through her clothes and onto her skin causing her to winces as she took one final blow to the creature stabbing it through the heart causing it to fall to the ground lifeless as it slowly disintegrated into ash. Blood dripping from her arms she turned to the ninja an eye cold glare them aiding each other in standing the creature having done a number on them. "Useless idiots" She said loud enough for them to hear. Before any of the ninja could ask or even say anything smoke rose up from the round object she threw to the ground creating a cloud and an easy escape method for the girl.
