Mia...
"It is a pleasure to welcome you two," she said with a soft voice. "I am the ruler of this kingdom. The water queen Blaire. You shall be staying with me from now on, Alvan."
Open mouthed, Alvan was staring at her, probably out of shock from seeing her. She tended to have that impact on men. However, I did not have time for all that. I had to leave.
"Like she said, Alvan," I confirmed. "Blaire will extend her hospitality to you. You shall stay here for as long as necessary and listen to all that she has to say."
As if waking from a trance, he looked at me, his fingers slightly twitching the way they do when he's agitated. Slowly, he opened his mouth to protest but I shook my head and he immediately stopped. Without hesitation, I mounted the servant and took off into the air once more. My job here was over.
Soon, we had exited the kingdom of water and were flying over the open ocean again. As soon as we left, the sea had reverted to its original form, flowing normally as we raced above. It should not take long to reach the meeting point. After a few hours of flight, I could see the kingdom of the sky.
Ruled by Drake, this was by far the biggest and the most important kingdom in Drazgarth since its location on the sky allowed for easy transportation between any point in our world. It was also the residence of the demonic council.
As I crossed into its borders, the kingdom became clearly visible. I had visited this place many times in the past and as such, nothing took me by surprise. The silver buildings decorated the land with thousands of demonoids and demons walking side by side. Due to its nature, this was the only kingdom where so many demons wandered about, amidst the demonoids. Many more airborne slaves and servants littered the sky here than in any other kingdom, but none dared to cross my path.
Coming into view was the meeting place, Goliath, and I realized once again how tall it was. This single building (named after its creator) was the resting place of the council. It was from there that they controlled this entire world. No matter how many times I came here, I was repeatedly astonished by the sheer scale of the Goliath. It rose higher than anyone could see and none had ventured to the top.
Urging the servant to fly faster, I raced across the sky. As it groaned in pain underneath me, I threatened to torture it back at my kingdom should it not obey. Fuelled by terror, it flew as fast as it could with renewed energy and we were closing the distance faster and faster. Soon, after about half an hour, we arrived at the Goliath.
Galloping across the street, the servant was seconds away from reaching the entrance. After calculating the time, I stopped the servant in front of the enormous door. Several times my height, this was the entry point of the Goliath and was guarded by some of the most elite demons in Drazgarth. Elegantly, I stepped off the servant and ordered it to rest nearby. As soon as it left, two of the four guards walked towards me.
"It's an honour to be in your presence, great queen of storm Mia," they said, bowing down respectfully. He was wearing the distinct black robes of the Council Guard, marked by their logo of a skull imprinted onto its back. Each one of them was hand picked by the council itself, and are therefore the strongest soldiers in Drazgarth.
"Raise your head," I commanded. He looked up at me, at which point I ordered, "As the ruler of the kingdom of storm, I demand entry into the Goliath."
"As you wish your highness," one of them replied before nodding their heads towards the other two. They placed their hands on the door and, recognising their magical imprint, the door opened. This was the only way to enter. As the doors were practically indestructible, the only way to open it was to have two of the Council Guard members, willingly place their hands on it simultaneously. Even I could not open it otherwise.
