Gamindustri, a place where 4 nations exist within each CPUs resides them. Purple Heart, CPU of Planeptune. Black Heart, CPU of Lastation. White Heart, CPU of Lowee. And Green Heart, CPU of Leanbox. In the past, these 4 CPUs used to fight for shares by sheer force, but now, they are fighting among it fair and square.
These 4 CPUs teams up to save Gamindustri from every threat, but, a new threat is coming. The power of the CPUs is not enough to take on this threat.
Histoire: Neptune!
On a particular day in Planeptower, the CPU of Planeptune is playing video games all day, neglecting all of her duties. The oracle of the nation, Histoire, steps into the room for her to get Neptune back to her feet and continue on with her work.
Neptune: Later Histy. Can't you see I'm fighting this boss?
Neptune let out a sigh, and she continues mashing the buttons on her controller. Histoire didn't like the idea of Neptune neglecting her work. She lets out a sigh as she floats closer to Neptune. She puffs up her chest for her to yell at Neptune.
Histoire: Neptune! Stop playing this instant!
Neptune: Nepu!!
As Neptune got startled from Histoire yelling, Neptune drops her controller and getting her character die. This enrages Neptune and stands up from where she is sitting, for her to yell back at Histoire.
Neptune: Histy! I thought I told you to come back later! *Sigh* I have to restart the whole game again.
Histoire: Neptune! This is no matter to have fun this very moment. I have reports coming from the guilds themselves, and they want you, the CPU of Planeptune, to undertake a quest for them.
Neptune ponders in her thought to the quest, that Histoire mentioned. She turns off her console and turned her attention back to Histoire.
Neptune: So, what's this quest all about?
Histoire: I'm not sure yet. According to the guild, strange monsters have been coming out from Virtua Forest.
Neptune puffs up her chest like it's going to be an easy quest.
Neptune: That will be easy!
Histoire is not surprised by Neptune's enthusiasm, for which she managed to protect Gamindustri from all sorts of threats, with the help of her other CPU friends. At the same time, she wears a worried expression on her face.
Histoire: Neptune, you shouldn't drop your guard down. Who knows what kind of creatures you'll be facing. According to the reports, these monsters are different from the monsters you have fought.
Neptune wears a smile to reassure Histoire. That smile alone reassured Histoire as she smiles back.
Neptune: Don't worry Histy! I'm the main character! I can kick bad guys black and blue!
???: I'm coming too big sis!
A young girl comes running inside the room, who looks identical Neptune, it's none other than her little sister, Nepgear.
Neptune: All right Nep. Jr.! Let's go take on the quest and be over with it!
Nepgear: Okay, big sister.
And then the two CPUs are shrouded with light as they transform into their goddess form, which enhances their abilities and have access to their wings so they can fly.
Neptune (HDD): We'll be back, Histoire.
Histoire: Okay, Neptune. Be safe out there.
Neptune nods in reply as the two sisters take off from the balcony and into Virtua Forest. Under the blue sky, as the two CPUs are flying to their destination, Nepgear flies closer to her sister, in order for her to ask her a question.
