~Chapter 8~ There's A Friggen Demon In The Tub (858)

I charged at Caleb with a punch ready. I aimed towards his face and he quickly dodged it.

"You gotta do better then that, buddy. I've been in martial arts training since the age of three," He smirked at me, "Now I have someone to fight. I'm not gonna hold back you asshole."

Caleb came running at me with unbelievable speed and punched me in the gut. I lost air and collapsed to the floor. "You done fighting yet? Im getting bored." Caleb said with a sigh, "Hungry too."

I looked over at Kai. He was watching us. Why is he just standing there?!

"No," I said, standing up now, wheezing. I started getting dizzy, "Never. Over. My. Dead. Body." The word 'body' came out as nothing as I collapsed to the ground.

About 12 minutes later (Caleb's POV):

I sat beside Cloud. He was lying in my bed with his head propped up on two pillows. I put my hand on his forehead, he has a fever. Why did he collapse like that? I barely tapped him.

Kai came in with some soup. "How's he doin'?" He asked.

"Not sure. He has a fever and a bruise on his stomach. Maybe a broken rib." I sighed. This was all my fault. "I'm so stupid! I fucked up, Kai! I hurt a kid and now he's gonna die!" Tears began to pour down my face. It started raining outside. "Cloud..."

Kai set the soup down on my dresser and walked over towards me. He wrapped his arms around me. "It's alright, babe. It's not your fault. Its my fault. I shouldn't have been so sudden with him. We did only meet him like two days ago." I sniffled and felt another warm tear stroll on down my cheek.

"Cloud... I'm so sorry." I turned around and kissed Kai on the lips, "Im gonna go shower."

"Ooh, can I come with?" Kai asked with a pleading look on his face. He winked at me and exchanged his look with a seductive smirk.

"I'd gladly accept it, Kai but someone needs to stay here and watch over Cloud." I frowned at Kai. He frowned back.

"Fine. But promise me that you'll repay me in bed tomorrow?" Kai said with a pouty face.

"You can count on that." I said while going in for a kiss. He noticed I was asking for a kiss and leaned towards me and kissed me with all of his passion. It made me feel better about myself, and Cloud.

"He's not gonna die you know. He'll be fine. I'm sure he's just tired, he probably hasn't been getting any sleep from what he's been going through lately." Kai gave me a reassuring smile and went to my dresser to retrieve the soup. Perfect timing too, Cloud woke up groggy eyed. He looked around the room in a panic trying to remember where he was.

"So it wasn't all a dream." He yawned then sighed. He noticed Kai holding the soup and reached out his arms towards it quickly. His stomach growled.

Kai grinned and gave Cloud the steamy soup. Cloud gulped down a few spoonfulls, choked a little, then went back to literally breathing in his soup.

"I'll be right back guys." I said while starting to take off my shirt and head out the doorway.

Kai looked at me with a sad look and said, "Okay, wish I could join you."

"Where you goin' Caleb?" Cloud asked. He looked at the expression on Kai's face and started to get a worried look on his own.

"A quick shower. Thats all." I replied. Cloud lightened up a little.

Cloud's POV:

I sat in bed "sipping the soup slowly". I was starting to get a tummy ache from such fast eating but I don't care. Its really good.

I feel really bad for Caleb. I shouldn't have treated him like that. I shouldn't have taken everything so sudden with Kai. He's Caleb's and not mine. No matter how sad that makes me I respect it.

I heard the shower turn on. Then the shower curtain opened, then closed. I heard a scream and then a loud thud. Caleb!

Kai quickly ran out into the doorway. I jumped out of bed so suddenly I spilled my soup and my stomach and head throbbed even more. I ran towards the bathrom and felt a warm tear run down my cheek as I saw Caleb lying limp in Kai's arms.

"No, please. Please be okay, Caleb. Please, " I heard Kai sob. "Call 911! Quickly!" He tossed me his phone and I dialed 911 and asked for the paramedics, told them our address, and our emergency.

"They'll be here in about five minutes." I walked over to Kai and Caleb. Kai put his lips onto Caleb's and gave him a big, passionate kiss.

I saw something out of the corner of my eye trying to crawl out of the tub. It was black, had eight legs, and a few pairs of beady little eyes. A cold shiver was sent down my spine. I think I know what happened to Caleb.
