Chaptr 5 The Trial pt2

I looked back at my father and explained to him that i'd be right back. The walk back to the Pack house felt so awkward and cringe. No one said anything we just walked in silence I could tell that they wanted to speak they just couldn't find the words. "So what do you guys think about all of this?" The question came out bolder than I was aiming for. "Well I think its dumb that brothers have to fight over some kid we barely know. I'm so sick and tired of tradition and how we are always expected to follow it. Its pointless especially when we are constantly evolving I don't feel like my purpose is to fall over just to protect you." The words came out of Jakiel's mouth fused with anger and disdain. "Come on bro it's not that deep it's not like Teioh here is choosing a trial of blood. Where we would have to fight each other to the death until only one of us remains. Anyways dad said he's giving all the power over to Teioh isn't that right pup?" Felix said as he eyed me down with a hint of lust and overflowing aggression. I stopped in my tracks looking at the both of them now feeling an attitude growing. "First of all Felix you can calm down with the low subliminals, secondly yes I do have control over the trial and wedding. I will do as I please and if you have a problem with it please make it clear to me now so I know who doesn't want to participate. That goes out to you Jakiel its so funny to me how you guys act so childish and trivial yet you guys have lived for all these years. I don't need you guys to escort me inside nor ever protect me I'm not weak. You two should leave me alone now as your presence has made me beyond upset. If you'd just tell me where to go I'll find your father on my own." After I said the words I couldn't believe that I had chewed them out like that. They both glanced at each other as shocked looks dressed their faces. "Woe, wow what have you two brutes done now?" Said a beautiful woman with long jet black hair that flowed all the way down her back her azure eyes judging each brother accordingly. "Hello you must be Teioh our Pack's new pride and joy. Sorry about my foolish brothers my name is Nina Lykos, its nice to finally meet and see you in the flesh. May I say the way you ripped these two a new hole, woof talk about bad ass. Come on with me I'll show and take you to where my dad is." She walked passed her brothers nudging and bumping them out of her way. I honestly could tell then and there that me and her were about to get along famously. I wonder why Marvius didn't mention having a daughter. I guess it didn't matter since he obviously wanted one of his son's to be my mate. I followed her into the house without hesitation smiling as I peeped the both of them watching us take our petty leave. I asked her why I didn't hear about her earlier she sighed and stopped in her tracks. "My father wasn't pleased that one of his True Alpha kid's was a girl. So he tried to erase me bet you don't even know that Jakiel is my twin. I bet my father told you that Jakiel is his only son born without a twin. Well he lied he hates the fact that I look like my mother and he became even more heated when he found out that I also posses the Ultimate TA gene. I tried so hard for years to appease my father trying to prove to him that just because Im a woman doesn't mean I was weak. He never cared in fact he packed up my shit and sent me off to be married. The TA he had in mind for me was an abusive asshole who tried to keep me locked up. The night of our wedding he tried to rape me as if I was a lowly Omega. My wolf didn't take to it well so she ripped his throat out. After that I headed to a coven that I have a couple of friends at and had them cloak my scent. Now I'm back at this Hell hole and find out that they found you the legendary OA Prince." She ended off with a smirk that revealed hidden pain. Pain that I began to feel myself so much so that tears started streaming down my face. She looked at me shocked almost bewildered. "Don't pity me I'm fine well I'll be fine as long as you stop crying. Plus we don't want my dad seeing you like this because of me. He'll be even more furious than he's about to be with me he might even just have me exiled" She said placing each one of her hands on my shoulder which seemed to instantly calm me down. I wiped my eyes and nodded in understanding not wanting her to go through anymore trouble because of me. Why was I like this I never felt these things before,I'm getting soft."There you go now you look ready to face Papa wolf now let's just hope his mood swings are in check." She said as she resumed leading the way we walked along the downstairs hall to a door that was at the very end. She urged for me to knock on the door and I did feeling unease creep in. "Come on in Teioh the door is open for you." The King said in his deep voice of power. I stopped and looked at Nina seeing if she was ready to face him. She was as ready as she could be so I opened the door cautiously. Once the door was completely open I saw that he had a huge smile on his face until he noticed who was behind me. He quickly peeped me looking at his expression and he plastered a more pleasant look unto his face. "Welcome Teioh and my beautiful daughter Janina please come on in HAVE a seat the both of you." We both did as he instructed but the tension I felt was spreading throughout the room like wildfire making me want to get up and run out the door. "You wanted to speak with me about the arrangements for the Trial and wedding?" I asked feeling myself gain relief after I broke the silence. "Yes I want to know which of the trials you had in mind and which of my son's would compete for your hand?" He said deeply now focusing his gaze on me. "Well I'm thinking Felix, Jakiel, Thiago, and Kieran would be good picks. As for the trial I want it to be a trial of combat since certain people think I need their protection." I said not catching the heat filled sass coming out of my mouth. I hated that they made it seem like I was this weak, fragile being. Little did they know I don't get broken I break people."Are you sure that this is the trial you want? You do know that this means you'll have to fight each one of your picks? I mean it is up to you I just don't want things going south." He said unsure of my decision but he still continued writing it all down. "I'm absolutely positive that this is the Trial I want. Your son's think that I need their protection, well tomorrow they'll find out that they need protection from me. Oh let's not forget about the wedding day lime green and black are the colors. I love lemon cake and key lime pie so that's that also overall I just want the whole event to seem authentic even if it's an arranged marriage. I also want you to invite Pack Sage as they still do mean a lot to me. Also Xander will be my best man and Nina will be my Groomsmaid that is what I want my King." I said ready to go I was ready to get out of this room so I could at least rest before The Trial tomorrow. "Ok so Trial will be tomorrow after that you'll get a whole day to spend with the winner. The day after that will be your wedding day and everything will be as you requested. You may head back to your family's house I have some things to finish up here plus you'll need the rest for tomorrow." He said licking his finger to turn to the next page of his notes. I couldn't believe that tomorrow was Thursday meaning I'd be getting married on a Saturday how cliche. This week was going by fast but I didn't mind it I was honestly so ready to get this all over with. I looked at Nina who was mouthing wish me luck she smiled and gave me a wink. Once I made it outside I was blasted with a gust of snow. The fact that it caught me off guard caused me to become irate. "Fuck off stupid ass snow." As if clockwork the sky cleared and the winds ceased. I paused shaking my head that must have just been a coincidence there's no way I did that. I ignored it and headed to my Dad's house I walked there slow taking in how much this Pack looked like a small town. They had stores, a movie theater, and plenty of food places in Pack Sage we had to head into the nearest town to get our supplies and food. But Pack Lupine had everything already available I couldn't help smiling talk about convenient. I looked at how there was so much snow and how it made the Pack look like a winter wonderland especially at night. I stopped my gawking and continued on towards what was now my home until my wedding. When I made it inside I had seen that my Dad was sleep on the couch. With a half empty bottle of wine and almost empty wine glass. I put the cork back into the wine bottle and placed the wine glass in the dishwasher. I then went and picked up my dad and carried him into his room that was upstairs. Once I got him tucked in I searched for a room that I could sleep in. Finding a room filled with two baby beds, baby toys, the room was full of baby decorations. I quickly closed the door moving on to the next couple of rooms deciding to sleep in the one that had grey walls, black bedding, and black furniture. I undressed and closed my eyes thinking of all the events about to transpire tomorrow. When I awoke crying it was because I had a nightmare that involved me in a hospital bed pregnant. In the dream I cried pleading for help but no one came I looked down to see an immense amount of blood coming from me. I screamed asking them to save my baby but still no one came I tried getting up but I found out that I was being restrained. Tears just flowed from my eyes and all I could do was feel helpless a feeling I hated more than sadness. Now awake I just gasped for air trying to calm myself down before this turned into a full on panic attack. I scanned the room seeing that it was now morning and that I most definitely wasn't in a hospital. My fear resided and I began to wonder why that dream felt so real, too real if you know what I mean. I got up picking out something to wear for the trial I had found some North Face winter warm tights with a matching fleece shirt. I then headed to the bathroom and started my shower, the steam hitting my face. It felt so calming that I turned my shower into a relaxing bath. Using a lot of the lemon bath salts and key lime scented bubble bath solution I guess I had the same taste as my Dad. I sunk into the tub and closed my eyes as my body began to get comfortable. I was in the tub for about thirty minutes until I began to hear noises coming from downstairs. I got out quickly wrapping myself up with a towel, looking in the mirror I noticed that my eyes were the same bright green as when I was a fox. I blinked multiple times but my eyes stayed that color I then dried myself off and got dressed. I fixed myself up a bit before heading downstairs to the smell of bacon and pancakes. "Mm it smells so lovely in here." I unknowingly said out loud. Just as I make it downstairs I'm hit in the face with the four Prince's scents. Felix, Thiago, Jakiel, and Kieran all filled the kitchen as they cooked. Which was a surprise to me I had no idea that they we capable of making something that smelt so damn good. "Rise and shine sleeping beauty looks like we have personal chef's in the kitchen. They came here bright and early just to make you and I breakfast. Oh my moon your eyes son we need to talk later alone." My dad said with a serious look as he got up from the couch heading my way. "I would like to apologize for my behavior last night I wasn't myself I hope you can forgive Felix's and my rudeness." Jakiel said sincerely and I thought about how Kieran told me about their mood swings. "It's fine I promise I don't hold grudges, we'll just have to get better acquainted so we'll know what and what not to say to each other." I said giving him a reassuring smile and nod. "We hope you have an appetite, also that you enjoy bacon, sausage, pancakes, and we also made waffles." Thiago said beaming ear to ear I could tell that he was hoping I would enjoy the food. "Yes fortunately I did wake up starving and you guys have this house smelling divine. Not going to lie im beyond impressed that you guys can cook and that nothing seems burnt." I said letting out a giggle which caused everyone else to laugh. I noticed that Kieran was hella quiet he seemed upset but I didn't want to assume. But I sure as hell planned on asking to see if something was up. We all began eating after they made plates and set up the dinner table. The food was so good I had to keep complimenting them. We all talked for about an hour laughing and catching up with each other. It was a good morning so good that I almost forgot about my dream and the Trial. I pulled my dad to the side and explained the dream he just paused a look of fear in his eyes. I asked him what did he think it meant but we were interrupted by Kieran who was coming to tell us that everything for the Trial was ready. My dad left the room and I took this time to see what was bothering Kieran. "What's wrong your energy has been off all morning?" I questioned with real concern I could tell he didn't want to answer my question but I still prodded. "I'm fine ok, it's you I'm worried about you chose a Trial of Combat. You do know that you'll have to fight each one us even if you lose the first fight. I don't like the idea of my brothers putting their hands on you not to mention the fact that you chose three ultimate TA's as your opponents. It's like you wanted to lose to them I don't know if I'll be able to just stand and watch you get beat." He said shaking his head normally I wouldn't let what he said get to me but I just was so tired of being underestimated. "Kieran I wouldn't have picked the Trial if I wasn't confident in my abilities. You TA's love underestimating the power I hold I may be an OA but I was raised and trained to be an Alpha king. I haven't lost a fight ever and don't plan on it I'm not fragile damn it." I said it with pure anger and Kieran just looked down letting out a small growl. I just walked past him and headed outside to the event. Maybe he was right, maybe I was the one underestimating them. Oh well it was too late to turn back now and my mind was already made up. Once outside I noticed that everyone was circling around a newly built arena. They all cleared a path for me once they noticed I was coming. I simply smiled and waved at the lil pups cheering me on. This was it the Trial was finally about to begin and the anger inside me had grown. I walked into the middle of the arena which was followed by the crowd cheering. I simply smiled at them giving them a formal bow. Their cheers increased as the four Prince's entered the arena each dressed completely different from earlier. They all looked ready for war and here I was looking like I was ready for a nice jog. Thiago stepped into the inner circle with me as the other three fell back. The King then appeared with my father at his side as they sat on a throne like chair. "Quiet down my people for the Trial is about to begin. First I have some announcements before I go over the rules. Teiven and I will be getting married tonight finally joining Pack's Lupine and Vulpine. Also this Saturday the winner of this Trial will be wed to Teioh ensuring that our Pack's will have successors when we decide to step down. Now the rules absolutely no shifting, rounds are won by knocking your opponent out cold or out of the ring, and the ruler of the Trial Teioh is the only one that can call a break or change a rule. It's all very simple so I expect no one to break the rules. Now let the Trial begin you may fight now." He said letting out a powerful howl that echoed. Thiago looked my way as he circled me I just stood there waiting for him to make his move. First thing I noticed was that his stance was off if I played this right I wouldn't even have to put my hands on him. "Come on don't be shy Prince go ahead and swing I'm not afraid of pain." He said switching directions now circling me the opposite way. "No you need to prove yourself to me and stop acting like your afraid to hit me." I said letting out a ferocious growl. He shrugged letting a smirk fall onto his face. Before I knew it he was throwing kicks at me with a quickness I dodged and blocked each one of them. I couldn't stop the giggle from slipping out and I could tell it angered him. He looked at me with his hazel eyes that were now filled with untamed rage. He charged me and I did a backflip using his shoulder to propel me higher. As I was coming down I saw that he was close to the rings border. I landed smoothly fixing my gaze on him feeling like I was a predator and he was my prey. I guess he felt the vibe because he had a look of worry in his eyes. I charged at him which caused him to try and fix his footing but he was all to late. As he went to counter my charge I jumped grabbing his arm as I wrapped my legs around his neck. Slinging him out of the ring and using him to kick myself back into the ring. I landed in a handstand and flipping into a pounce stance watching as Thiago hit the floor. It was so crazy how everything around seemed to be in slow-mo but me. The crowd began cheering and Thiago looked so confused as to what just happened. He got up storming out of the arena, Felix then stepped into the circle looking at me as if he were proud. "I'm honestly at a loss for words you were amazing, not to mention how quickly you took him out now I'm excited to fight you. Maybe even a little bit honoured just hope I don't hurt you too bad." Felix said obviously pleased with his lil dig. I looked up at King Marvius feeling something within me coming forth. "No more ring!" After I said it the crowd let out a couple of oo's and gasps. I noticed Kieran who wasn't paying attention at first, now had his full attention on me. I looked away from him and back towards Felix who was now looking serious. "As you wish Teioh no more ring you two may fight Now!" The King said letting his voice resonate around the Arena. I wasn't about to wait for Felix to make his move so I made my way to him. I threw a couple of jabs none landing but he kicked me in my rib causing me to let out a whimper. I heard it crack and something in me just went crazy my vision became hazy. Almost red the pain in my rib went away and I noticed that it was completely healed. I was so confused because yeah werewolves heal faster than humans but never that fast. I was moving in pursuit but wasn't in control Felix began backing away from me. "Umm dude I really don't like that look in your eyes you look like you want to eat me." He said stopping in his tracks he looked at me and his eyes turned silver as he let out a growl. I didn't stop walking towards him it was like a part of me felt the need to stop but the rest of me didn't care. Before I knew it his throat was in my hands as his feet hovered above ground. "You lose not worthy of me." I didn't think of the words but they still came out next thing I knew Felix was flying in the air landing into a tree with a hard thump. A medical team rushed to him but I heard him still breathing. "He has a pulse but obviously lost the fight as he is out cold." One of them said in unwavering shock. Before I knew it Jakiel was now in front of me growling his eyes were now also silver. Anger just oozed from his pores I could tell he didn't appreciate how Felix was done. Little did they all know I wasn't in control it was like a dormant part myself had taken over. Jakiel charged me once his father gave us permission to begin. Just as he was about to punch me a ray of lightening came from my finger tips. Frying him where he stood he fell back in pain I walked over to his crumpled body knocking him out with a punch. I looked at his burns and focused on him recovering. His burns began fading away his skin going back to normal. I tried to gain control back over my body but nothing worked I was just happy that I was able to heal him. Everyone watched me in awe except for my Dad he looked afraid. Out the corner of my eye I peeped a hesitant Kieran walking up to me slowly. "Your not here Teioh are you?" His question threw me off but I whimpered in response. I felt myself fall to my knees as tears streamed down my face. I didn't want to hurt any of them the way that I had but whatever took a hold of me did. Kieran slowly made his way behind me placing a hand on my shoulder. It calmed me down a bit but it didn't quell the anger that my other side felt. My body jolted up swatting at Kieran as lighting strikes around us. He simply breezed on by and easily weaved my attacks. He grabbed my face and looked me in my eyes as his glowed an even deeper silver than his two brother's. "Enough of this return to your place fox." My body shuddered as the words came out of his mouth. I felt so weak as my Fox as Kieran put it faded away into its place. I felt something hard hit the back of my head with precision. I fell to the floor but not before Kieran could scoop me into his arms. "We have our champion folks my dearest son Kieran your Prince will marry the powerful OA Prince Teioh. I closed my eyes as everything faded into blackness. What was I truly? Why did my Dad look so scared of me? Why didn't Kieran's brother's True Alpha stares work on me but his did? So many questions but not enough clarity. I eventually let the darkness consume my thoughts and I slipped off into a deep sleep.
