Exactly 1000 years ago.

"The leader has brought nothing but shame to our village" a concerned wolf spoke to the board. "He impregnated a human. A WITCH!"

The board members listened even  the leader who was being accused. "So do you wish on challenging me?" Jeongguk asked.

The elder man froze up. "No, but  I ask for a trial"

The man's wish was granted and no one dared challenge the leader, he's the Alpha for a reason.

For such distasteful actions, the elderly man was beheaded infront of the pack as a lesson of what rebelliousness does to you.

"If you can't fight me, don't speak on me" he announced.

The crowd whispered  and grumbled amongst eachother but Jeongguk didn't care as he went to  return to his hut.

His wife instantly wrapped her hands around him. "You're safe" she checked for marks. "I was so scared"

The man smiled. "I'll always return" he placed a hand on her growing bump. "This is my family"

Lilith his wife smiled. "I love you"

Jeongguk kissed her lips. "So what have you made?"

The woman waddeld over to the fire.

"I roasted the rabbit you brought home yesterday " she took a seat. "Lets eat at the fire"

The man oblige as he joined her.

"Here" she filled his plate. "So you can be big and strong "

The man nodded. "Here" he placed it on her plate. "So that you and my son will be strong "

Jeongguk and his dispised wife Lilith lived happily, her tummy grew bigger and Jeongguk became more feared in the land.

A full blood wolf mating with the devils child, a witch and are to bring forward a child.

News like that doesn't take long to make way to the 12 covens.

"How is it even possible for them to bring forward a child, it's a sin " the high priests spoke. "The woman and child must be burned at a stake "

This news didn't take long to meet Jeongguks pack. They were planning on slaughtering his people if he refused  to hand his wife up.

"Lilith we must leave" he hurriedly entered their hut.

Lilith rubbed her tummy. "We can't its almost the full moon"

"We'll  make it before then"

She sighed. "Jeongguk I'm scared"

He nodded. "I know but I promise I won't allow anything to happen to our family"

Lilith held his arms as she squeezed it. "I trust you" she pecked his lips.

As the clouds covered the moon and the last flame went out.

Jeongguk took his pregnant wife and left in the dark of the night.

They walked for hours through the forest.

The cricketing sounds and the breaking of branches, the howling of wolves all filled the air.

Lilith clutched to her unborn child as she felt something shifting.

Something wasn't right.
