Chapter 9: Lies..

*Zoe pov*
I finally arrived. No one was home.
I went to the bathroom, took a shower and put on my PJ's.
I fell asleep fast.
|2 pm|
|Phone ringing|
Zoe: Hmph..
I take the phone and look at the screen.
Noah is calling me. I pick up.
Zoe: Why are you calling me this early?
Noah: It's 2 pm, did I wake you up?
Zoe: 2 pm??? Okay, It's not that early. What do you need?
Noah: I was wondering.. do you want to come to my house? I'm bored.
Zoe: Okay, I'll come at 3. Can Jackson come too?
Noah: No.. I mean yes. Sure.
Zoe: Okay, bye.
I get up, eat, was my teeth and get dressed.
I call Jackson and ask him to come. He came in 10 minutes and we went together.
We were a little early.
*knock, knock*
Noah: Just a second!
We waited for a little then Noah opened the door and we came in.
We talked for a bit, but then Noah sighed.
Noah: I have to go to the store. I'll be back in 5 minutes, since it's kinda far.
Zoe: Okay, we will wait.
He went out.
Jackson: Okay, what do we do now?
Zoe: I don't know. His house is really nice tho, he won't mind if I check it out a little.
Jackson: You're right, I guess.
I got up and went into the kitchen first, and then the bathroom. When I got to the bedroom, I was not sure if i should come in, but I'm glad I did.
His bedroom was really dark. I barely saw the curtains. I moved them expecting to see a window, but instead, I saw a door.
It was unlocked.
(What could this be..? Why does he have a secret door?)
I called Jackson and he came fast. We entered the secret room, and what we saw next was terrifying. I saw 5 computers, all monitoring my house.
Zoe: What...What is this!?
Jackson: What the hell... Was he watching you the whole time?? We should check the room more. He is probably hiding something else.
Zoe: Yeah.. You're right.
While looking around, I saw his diary.
I decided to check the first page.
Dear diary,
I met a girl called Zoe.
I think I am falling for her, but I have to act normal. No one would love an Akini, right?
(Noah is an Akini?)
I closed the diary and Jackson took it. He was left in shock.
We countinued looking around the room when we heard a crying sound.
We were looking for another secret door, but instead, there were hidden stairs.
Zoe: I'm scared to go, but we have to, he will be back soon.
Jackson: Yeah, you're right.
He went first and i followed him.
When we got to the end of the stairs, the thing I saw next made my heart skip a beat.
Zoe: MIKE?! Why are you here?!? What did that monster do to you!?
Jackson and I quickly untied him.
He was full of bruises, and he was really skinny.
I started crying.
Zoe: We have to get out of here.
Jackson: Let's get Mike home, your house is just around the corner. Then, we will come back and act like nothing happened. We will sneak into his house while he is asleep, and look for a cure for these monsters. Maybe, we can somehow stop the virus from spreading. It's not too late.
We dropped off Mike home, and did as planned.
