Chapter 3: Girl with horns

When i finally got out of my bed to eat, i saw a something right next to my window. I came closer to see what it was, and i saw that it was a folded piece of paper, and my window was opened.
(Hmm.. The window is opened.. I swear i closed it when left the house.. It was probably my mom.)
I unfold the paper and see a note which was written in red.
I couldn't read properly what it said, it was really messy. It said something like: You are ...?

Zoe: "Why is this so messy??? Who even left this??? Whatever. It's probably someone playing with me."

I took the paper and put it in my backpack.
I went to eat and after that i got a text from Noah. It said:

"Hey, Zoe.. Do you want to go to the cafe? Text me when you can."

(How did he get my number?? Rachel probably gave it to him...)

"Okay, meet you at 8 at the school" I answered.

I got ready and went straight there, late as always.
When i got there I saw that he was already waiting for me.

"I'm so sorry for being late"

"It's okay", he said. "I hope you don't mind going with... only me, you know"

"Oh, of course no! Don't worry.

He really looks beautiful. His messy blonde hair really matches the blue hoodie he was wearing.

"Aren't you cold?" I said. "It's chilly, we should hurry"

We hurried to the cafe.

When we got there, there were only 2 older girls sitting close to the door.

Zoe: Huh? Why is it empty??

Noah: I don't know.. I guess it's a coincidence. This cafe is never empty tho.
We came to the nearest table and sat. The waiter came and looked at us in a weird way. I ordered lemonade, while Noah got tea. When the waiter got back, I heard him whispering with someone,

"Why are they here? Are they crazy?"

Zoe: Did you hear that too??q

Noah: "What? I didn't hear anything, what do you mean?"

Zoe: "Nothing actually. I'm sure I'm just hearing things."

While we were drinking and talking, my phone rang.
It was my mom. I picked up.

"Hello?" I said.

"Come home right now, And watch out where you go. I don't want you to get hurt"

Zoe: "Mom, what are...."

She hangs up.
(Hurt?? What does she mean by that??)
I told Noah about the call and he started to worry.

"It must be something important" He said.

"I should go"

"Me too, see you later"

I hurried home and on my way home i see a girl standing near the bridge, smilling creepily. She is looking at the river.
(Hmm.. She looks kind of weird.. I don't know if i should come closer..)
I came closer to see her better, but still enough space to run.. What i saw next shocked me.)

Zoe: *whispers* "She has horns??? And why is she full of blood?? What is this??"

I ran the other way without her noticing me, I ran for 5 minutes turning my head every 20 seconds to see if she was there.
(What was that??? I should hurry home before mom freaks out)
