Chapter 2

*Beep Beep Beep*
I groan as I wake up to the annoying sound of my alarm. I look over to my clock and see that it's only 7am. I start to drift of to sleep again until I realise that I've got a dance competition today.
I brush my hair and get changed into these comfy clothes

I then walk downstairs to get breakfast. As i walk into the kitchen i see Tom flicking through instagram. "Morning Tommy"
"Morning Emma"
"I'm guessing you've got a competition this morning or you wouldn't be up this early?"
"Yeah."
"What dances are you doing today? "
"A group contemporary, a Hip hop trio with Jaden and Danny, A acro solo and a contemporary duet with Riley."
"That's a lot of dances, good thing you take after me and my amazing dance skills"
"You wish"
"I'm offended, but good luck today kiddo. I wish I could come but I've got an audition today"
"Thanks and don't worry about it anyway because Sam's meeting me there later to watch the dances and if the rest of you guys came you would get mobbed by fan girls"
"True"

Jaden, Danny and Riley are my best friends. Me and Danny have been friends since the day i was born because our mum's were friends since secondary school, me and Riley became friends during my first dance class when i was 3 and she was nearly 5 and me and Jaden became friends when he transferred to our dance studio 5 years ago. We all go to the same competitive dance studio and usually end up getting put into a group together so thanks to dance our friendships have become even stronger and now have an unbreakable bond.

I run upstairs and grab my dance bag with costumes and makeup things in. i then unplug my phone and get a text from Jaden saying him and his mum are outside, ready to pick me up. i rush downstairs and shout bye to everyone, then shut the front door and get in Jaden's car.

"Morning Jaden, morning Mrs Moore"

"Morning Emma, and call me Katie. Mrs Moore sounds to formal"

"OK"

Me and Jaden chat about random things until we arrive and then split up to go to our separate dressing rooms. I walk into the small  dressing room to see Riley standing there waiting for me.

Riley- "Hey Emmy"

Emma- "Hey Ri, how are you?"

Riley- "I'm great thanks, how are you?"

Emma- "I'm actually in a good mood today and there's not to much pressure because it's only Sam watching me today."

Riley- "That's good but we should probably get ready now"

Emma- "Ok"

*time skip*

After me and Riley get changed we go backstage to meet the boys for our group contemporary dance and pre-competition huddle and team talk.

Jaden- "we are gonna smash this dance today"

all- " YEAH!"

Riley- "Just remember everyone to point and flex your toes at the right times and try not to fall out of the turns"

Danny- "Emma, I forgot to say that there's some extra people here to see you"

Emma- "Wait, Who?"

Danny- "Can't tell you Emmy, I'm sworn to secrecy"

Emma- "Bitch, just give me a clue"

Danny- "Ok, Ok, you thought these people were busy or not here at all and their hiding until the last dance, which will be your solo so don't bother looking for them on stage until then"

Emma- "Oh god"

*time skip*

 we do all of our dances except my solo and they are all going well so far but i can't see anyone i recognise in the audience yet.

As i walk onstage to do the final dance of the day, i see 7 people in the audience i recognise...

Payton Moormier as Jaden- 15  Nickname- Jay or Jay-bear

Dylan Sprayberry as Danny- 14  Nickname- Dan or D

Abi Butcher as Riley- 15 Nickname- Ri

(Emma's nickname is Emmy or Em)
