You had never thought you'd actually be walking in the same halls where High School Musical was filmed. But here you were, taking a tour of the school. When you heard that there was tours being given, you knew you had to take the opportunity.
Following the tour guide, you finally make your way to the one thing you've always wanted to see in real life. Sharpay's locker. You nudge your friend Lydia to take a picture of you in front of it. "Jesus Y/N, you get overly excited about the tiniest things" she whispers. Lydia had never actually been a fan of the movies, you'd just dragged her along with you so you didn't seem like a total weirdo. You wink at her and pose in front of the iconic pink lockers. Lydia just rolls her eyes and hands you your phone back. You go see the cafeteria, the drama classroom, and the gym. The tour guide stops in front of a door and turns to face the group. "Now, in my opinion, I've saved the very best part of this tour for last. We have to be extremely quiet because I'm pretty sure there's filming in the process at the moment." Filming in process? You were so confused because you hadn't heard anything about a new High School Musical movie. "Let's go into the auditorium!" says the tour guide.
She opens the auditorium door, and you all start to head in very quietly. She motions for everyone to take a seat in a chair to observe the filming process. Extremely confused, you look to the stage not recognizing a single person up there. "What is this?" you whisper to Lydia. "Who cares, I'm gonna take a nap while we're here" she replies. You scowl at her and watch the scene play out on the stage. You come to realize it's some sort of auditions, because all the people were singing High School Musical songs.
You discretely move towards the tour guide and whisper "What is this all for?" She turns around and says "I'm technically not supposed to tell anyone, but they're filming a new tv show based off High School Musical. They just started filming about two weeks ago." You get super excited, and go back to your seat to watch the rest of the cast members sing.
About an hour passes by, and the way the scene plays out, a girl named Nini starts singing for the role of Gabriella. All of a sudden, a boy bursts into the auditorium running in with his guitar. The girl stops, and all the lights go out. One other boy and the boy that had ran in late held flashlights up for her from their phones so she wasn't singing in the dark. When she finishes her audition, the boy with curly brown hair stands up and says he wants to audition for Troy. But instead of singing a song from the movie, he starts to sing a song you've never heard before. When you hear his voice, you're mesmerized by him. Everything about him was perfect.
You were in such a daze, you hadn't realized that almost everyone from the tour had already left. You snapped out of it when the director yells cut. You quickly get up and run out of the auditorium.
