Chapter 19 : Not The Only One

Jiwon's POV

"Jiwon something isn't right"

"Hyunjin? How come you're calling? Did Yuna let you out?"

"Yes she did. Yesterday, actually"

"So what isn't right?"

"Yuna's intercom got cut midway of her talking. Now I don't know if that is her turning it off herself to reduce sound or she's in trouble"

"Okay, hold on. So you know her sister is missing"

"Yes. She told me the whole story yesterday. Then she told me to hack into the camera systems around SM's building. We found the guys vehicle, tracked it and Yuna went to that location last night"

"You didn't bother telling me something was wrong last night?"

"She told me before she left the base that we should give her at least 2 days. 2 days to accomplish whatever she has to do. And if she doesn't come back in two days, that means she was and still is in trouble or she's gone"

"Damn it. So what did you do last night?"

"I tried my best to get a thermal scan on the house. But it always gets corrupted which has never happened before"

"Well, we're dealing with very high class people in this industry right now"

"Come to the office, I have more things to tell you about this operation"

"What about the girls? Yuna gave me the responsibility of protecting them"

"Uhm, when is their next schedule?"

"In about 3 hours. They're all still sleeping"

"My explanation will only take an hour. You can go back after"

"Fine. I'll be there in 10"

I texted Haechan to come watch the girls for the next hour and a half. He agreed immediately and took position. I dropped a text in the girls groupchat that they have with the bodyguards telling them I'll be gone for a while. I left their dorm and drove straight to headquarters.

"Welcome back, Jiwon"

"I should be saying that to you, Hyunjin"

He had greeted me as soon as I entered our floor. He had an earpiece in one ear and was holding a tablet which controlled the huge screen that showed images of a vehicle.

"This is the vehicle you were talking about?"

"Yes. A black Chevrolet. I managed to track it down to this tiny neighbourhood outside of Seoul. The car was parked just outside on the driveway, for everyone to see"

"You said you found the footage of the kidnapping, show it to me"

A new window opened on the screen and it seemed like it was a camera view from the restaurant opposite of the building.

"Did you get an ID?"

"The cameras weren't clear enough plus, he's wearing mask covering half of his face"

"Shit. How would we know if it's Kai?"

"That's the problem. We don't think it's Kai anymore. This guy in the footage has a tattoo on his right inner wrist, of an angels wings"

"And Kai doesn't have any tattoos"

"Exactly"

"We need to go there now Hyunjin. Something could have happened to her"

"No. Yuna said to give her two days. This is only the first day. She could be keeping a down low and we just might ruin the plan for her. So wait. Okay?"
