“Can I have this dance?” Gerald asked Sarah. She took his hand and let him guide her. Swaying to the sound of the violins playing, the air and the rose petals on their feet, Sarah just can’t help but feel like she’s in cloud nine. Their bodies move gracefully as if they are one. Sarah is smiling and she closed her eyes. And Gerald just can’t take his eyes off of her. “Oh wow. How lucky can I get?” Gerald thinking to himself, looking at Sarah while her eyes still closed. He pressed his forehead to hers as they continue to dance. He twirled her and dipped her.
Sarah giggled. Those giggles and laughters are music to his ears. He smiled and continued to dance with her. And as the third song was about to end, Gerald whispered “I love you.” She looked at him, straight to his eyes. As she was about to say something, she noticed him took a deep breath and he started to shake. She knows he was nervous. She suddenly felt nervous too, butterflies in her stomach. “Is everything okay babe? What’s wrong?” she asked. “No, no. Nothing’s wrong. It’s just that....” “What? You’re making me nervous,” she said. “Uhm...you know, I know you remembered everything. The food, my shirt and all. All of our firsts.” “Yes. I do. Why?” “Uhm, there’s just something I wanted to tell you. There are things I wanted to tell you. And please baby girl, don’t give me that look. You’re making me more nervous than I am now” Gerald said trying to calm himself and the aura between them.
“Okay.” He breathed in and out again. “Listen to me first baby girl. I know that we didn’t plan all these, us. Before we even get to be friends, there are a lot who are against us already. I have always been a fan of yours, every time you go on that stage I am one of those who you always leave in awe. I can feel your passion, your will. Until we get to work. Like you, I know you felt the same way too. We were both scared, nervous because we do not know how they’ll accept us together, in a project. But, I was able to see more of you. Your kindness, your humility. You just don’t know but I have always wished that I’d be given a chance to know you more. And wow, aren’t I lucky enough that my wish was granted? I don’t know why but there’s just something about you, something about you that’s always left me wanting to know you more. And yes, I mean it every time I tell everyone on national TV that you’re so beautiful inside and out.” Gerald stopped for a bit trying to gasp for air, his hands shaking but never letting go of Sarah’s hands. She was looking at him, lost for words.
