Pulling Heart Strings~ Obi-Wan Kenobi Fanfic

~The Phantom Menace~

I had been placed on Naboo with my master, to look over the queen during the disagreements. My dear friend Obi-Wan and his master, Qui-Gon had been sent as ambassadors to organise the ruble of trade.

The  Senator appeared on the hologram, saying the negotiations hadn't started as the ambassadors hadn't turned up, despite being informed by the chancellor that his ambassadors indeed arrived. I looked around the room, a select committee sat around the hologram, listening to every word, but my thoughts sat somewhere else. I sensed that Obi-Wan was in a neutral state, anxious maybe? Uneasy? My hand rested tightly around my lightsaber whilst it lay in its hilt. My master, Sola Lacertt, stood beside me, listening in to what was in front of us.

Suddenly, the senator faded and wobbled, then disappeared. The mumbles started and the word 'invasion' made its way into the conversation.

"The federation would not dear go that far" The words left the Queen's lips like a command.

"The Senate would revoke their trade franchise"

The room grew tense as I looked in my masters' direction. She seemed uneasy too.

"Master, we could take down many droids, but not an invasion of droids with just the two of us, what do you say we do?"

Master Sola looked at me with pity in her eyes

"I'm not too sure yet my padawan, but I'm more concerned about Qui-Con and his padawan. I'm sure they arrived on the ship a while ago" She sighed, turning her attention back to the conversation at hand.

Lowering my head, I couldn't bear the fact that my dear friend could be in trouble, but he is reliable enough in these types of situations. 

"I will not condone an action that will lead us to war" Breaking my thoughts, I looked in the queens' direction. Her head security drew my attention to him.

"If anything does come, we at least have the Jedi here in case things go south"

"Yes, and it is our duty to protect the queen and the people of Naboo" My masters' words cut through the uneasy tension in the room like a knife.

I could sense an unwanted presence, danger. 

"Master, there's something wrong. Something doesn't feel right." We walked side by side, with my master looking out of the windows that looked out into the wonders of Naboo. 

"You worry too much Theala, I'm sure the committee will have it all under control" 

"What about Obi-Wan and Master Qui-Gon?" My master placed her hand on my shoulders, stoping both of us.

"They will be too, I cant sense their deaths so they seem to be perfectly alive. Besides, you worry far too much about that Obi-Wan" Hearing his name brought a firey blush onto my cheeks.

"We trained as younglings together. We've known each other since we were about 5 years old. He's my best friend."  A small smile appeared on Sola's lips as she sighed.

"I have seen him train, he is very capable of looking after himself dear padawan. I can sense a strong connection between you two but be careful, it may be used against you" Lowering my head, I sighed lightly.

"Yes master"

Hope yall enjoyed this first chapter. The next few chapters will be longer. The next one will basically me just explaining Thealas character a bit more, a description so to speak.
