Vincenzo's Pov:
I can't believe I finally found my mate.
I've been waiting my whole life to find her, and then when do, she almost died.
And I almost wasn't there to save her.
I lost control when I saw those rouges attacking her and I killed every single one of them. But I noticed more dead wolves, and couldn't help but feel proud that my mate was a fighter. She would make a great Luna to our pack. She seemed feisty and I liked that.
I was still pissed that she almost died and its my fault she's lying in this damn hospital bed. If only I was there sooner, I would be holding her in my arms, instead of sitting by her bedside. I was so scared when I saw her lying on the ground covered in blood and the thought of losing her was terrifying.
The only thing that kept me calm during this was the smell of her. Her scent smelt of daises and the soil and it was the most beautiful thing I have ever smelt. It brought such a serenity over me and my wolf leaving us in awestruck.
I don't even know my mates name yet or anything about her, but I already feel this strong connection with her. Mates are the most sacred and meaningful thing to werewolves, and they are what keeps life balanced. Similar to the symbolization of a Yin and Yang. My mate is now the meaning of my life, of my existence and purpose. Her happiness and protection is the only thing that matters to me now.
My mate shifted into her human form before she lost consciousness and I quickly covered her in my t-shirt hiding her nakedness ,not wanting anyone to see what was mine. After that, I picked her up in my arms and brought her to the infirmary.
And I haven't left her side since then.
The doctors wanted to put her in a surgical gown, but I wouldn't let them see the body of my mate. No way in hell was I letting anyone see or touch what was mine. They finally listened to me and they stitched up my mates stomach, without having to change her clothes.
Its been almost two days since my mate fell unconscious, and the doctor said she lost a lot of blood because of those f*cking rouges. If they weren't already dead, I would make sure to make each of their deaths slow and painful.
They almost killed my mate.
There were six wolves tracking my poor mate and she was all alone, having to fend for herself. It made me so angry knowing that those wolves were out to intentionally hurt my mate. Thank god I killed those damn mutts.
" Where am I? What the.." I heard a soft confused voice say.
I looked up to see that my mate was awake.
She's awake finally! Her wounds healed fast, but she must've been really tired because she slept for a long time.
She sat up and went to take the iv out of her arm. I growled at her, upset that she was moving so quickly after losing all that blood. She needs to rest, not move around! But then her eyes met mine and I felt that same warm spark when our eyes locked in the forest all those days ago.
I am so lucky to be blessed with such a beautiful mate.
No woman that I have ever met is as beautiful as she is. My mate had long brown hair that had streaks of hazel in it from the summer sun, that flowed down her back. She had plump pink lips that were parted ever so slightly, that were just begging to be kissed. She had a slender, athletic build, but also a curvaceous body that had an innocence to it that made her even more tempting.
