Hey guys. I don't know what I'm doing but I'm pretty much just writing down stuff. Enjoy!! Good and constructive comments are appreciated, and this is just a hook and more is to come if you enjoy! I apologize in advance if there are any spelling or grammatical errors. I'm usually pretty careful about that but I make mistakes. I'm also only 13 so I might not have the best vocabulary variations

Main characters: Cat, Austin

[Cat's P.O.V.]

It was a dark night, clear skies, and just the perfect temperature. I liked being with Austin. Everything just seemed right. Even if he had been acting a little off I knew it would be okay. He was just that kind of person, you felt like you could trust. He was my best friend after all. Although I still couldn't get my mind off of his recent actions.

He was just being different, as if something was bothering him. He was always just so spaced out recently. But I was with him now, and that's all I cared. He was just so cute today! He really was attractive for being 17, he looked almost like a full-grown man, but he still reminded me of a cute baby puppy.

We lied down in the grass, a few inches apart. We looked at the stars and I was getting a little tired, honestly. I soaked up the feeling of his warmth and closed my eyes. I was suddenly brought back into reality when he started speaking, for the first time since we got here 10 minutes ago.

"Do you ever just look at the stars and wonder why they are there, why they exist, why they dance in the sky like diamonds?" Austin asked.

"Not really," I giggled, "you have been so deep recently," I pointed out.

"Well it's just, I know some day I will be on my death bed. Some day I will be the one with marble over my head. And I just want to know WHY I am here, what is my purpose, why was I chosen to be with you? Why wasn't someone else chosen to take my place? I just want to know what my purpose is, if that makes any sense," he responded.

I looked over to the brown haired boy, his green eyes sparkling with the reflection of stars on them. He looked as if he was spacing out, just watching the time go by. He looked over to me and I looked away, not wanting him to know I had been watching his actions.

"It does make sense, but you have just been acting differently, and I'm actually getting kind of worried.." I said. He looked back at me as if I were an alien. He just stared, then turned away. I was starting to get uncomfortable.

"Austin please, you're scaring me! Is there something wrong?" I pleaded, trying to remain calm while he just peered at the sky as if I wasn't there. "Austin!" I yelled, my heart racing. Something was wrong. Very, very, wrong.

He looked over, his head cocked to the side slightly.

"What do you mean, Cat?" he asked, completely spaced out. He stood up over me looking down at me with the same terrifying expression.

I sat up from my position, slowly standing up, scared he was going to do something. Something seriously was wrong and I was becoming scared for my safety.

"Austin?!" I screamed.

"It will only take a second," he stated plainly.

"AUSTIN!!" I wailed. "Austin, wait no you don't have to do this," I said. My heart was racing as I was trying to remain calm. "Austin AUSTIN AUSTINN WHAT ARE YOU DOING!" I screamed .

"I'm sorry, Cat," he spoke calmly as he delivered a swift and smooth kick to the bottom of my jaw. It knocked me out instantly and everything went black.
