Bunji grinned like an absolute fool and dove in for a kiss to Mohii’s head when he read Kaya’s text and jogged into his room to put some socks on. He didn’t bother putting on other clothes because it was not only the weekend but a movie day now, so he padded to his fridge and pulled out a tray of chichi dango from their hidden place—not that he needed to hide them—and moved to the door to slip on some running shoes.
After pocketing essentials and locking the door, he took some ridiculously long strides and ended up in front of Kaya’s door in record time. Knocking on it with a satisfied half-grin on his lips. When the door opened, he greeted her with “Spirited Away” before lifting the dango for her to take and stepping inside should she invite him in.
He looked like he’d quite literally just gotten out of bed but there were no shits given. He even smiled when noticing that she was in sleepwear as well; overall looking rather pleased.
. . . .
A irrevocable smile encompassed her lips when she heard the knock st her door. She was certain her cheeks would most likely ache later tonight with how much his presence caused her to beam from ear to ear. "I should have guessed that given your song choice back when I played during my hospital visit to you. Oh! Thank you for bringing a gift. Please come in."
When he entered she closed the door and carried the dango to the fridge for eating later. When she returned she picked up Spirited Away and placed it into the player. A minute later the tv light up and the sound of the movie menu could be heard.
She took a seat on the couch configured futon and patted the empty space beside her, for him to join her while handling the remote with her other hand to push play and begin the film.
. . . .
Bunji hummed, pleased, and watched her drop the dango in the fridge before returning and dropping onto the futon. He joined her upon her beckoning, sitting close enough that their thighs could brush while he sat cross legged and slithered an arm around her shoulders; pulling her to him should she permit.
He still smelled like shower, from earlier that morning, and it was a spicy incense type smell.
“I love being lazy on the weekends,” he replied. Almost saying that he missed having a house where he could bask in the sun, beneath an open window, with Mohii. It was not the same at that moment because the apartment was much more compact and minimal compared to his home with a wooden-floor and shoji doors.
He was beginning to miss it.
But he set that aside, tuning into Kaya’s presence almost immediately after touching her (should he have been permitted to do so). He rather liked this, rather like touching her, freely, without worry that someone might see. Not that he cared about rules but his main concern was her, more than anything.
If he lost his job, he didn’t care.
When Spirited Away began, that all too familiar car scene launched his content smile. He adored this movie to no end because he rather missed the Otherworld and the truly wonderful things it held away from humankind.
One could say that… it made him wistful in a good kind of way.
But he got distracted and would take Kaya’s hand with the one not holding her, and would aim to press another kiss to her knuckles. He’d been craving to feel her skin against his lips again and gave himself that much, at least. Lingering. Then lowering their hands to his lap to hold as his indigo eyes lifted to the movie.
. . . .
Kaya was pleased that Iehiro was comfortable enough to sit down and put an arm around her shoulders. That familiar body yearn for connection resonated along where their thighs brushed and sides contacted.
