Samuel fell. Hard. There was blood all over both the floor and Wolf's white tee. Samuel lay there for a minute; the air was silent and still. Wolf's ears were ringing, but eventually, it faded. Wolf felt nothing. Empty, even. He stared into Samuel's cold, dead eyes. Then, to Wolf's surprise, Samuel stood up. A hole still in his head, he looked at Wolf.
'I see the doctor told you everything. You'll regret this. I can promise you that.'
He pushed past Wolf and got into his Chevrolet. He turned the key as the engine roared. He drove halfway out of the parking lot, before performing a three-point turn and facing the woods in his car. The car stood still, engine purring. After a few seconds, Samuel put the car into gear and drove as fast as he could at a tree. The hood of the car crumpled before the engine blew up, leaving the car and Samuel to be nothing but a ball of fire. Wolf, unfazed, walked back into his cabin and went back to sleep.
