A/N: This takes place at the end of third year. Lily and James are waiting at Platform Nine and Three-Fourths.

************************************LILY'S POV

I allow myself to get lost in my thoughts, remembering the time when Severus and I were kids. There were not much worries back then. Then, we grew up, and everything become more complicated with each school year. Well, yeah, the Mauraders have reconciled with Severus, but....Severus and I will never be the same. I used to love him, but I'm in love with James now. No changing that. Severus gave us his blessing, but I can't help but think about the pain he's feeling.

I sigh as I wait for the Hogwarts Train to arrive. Then I heard the train horn. They're here!

I approached the train doors with James when I heard a voice.

" I'm sorry, Harriet. It just slipped out of my mouth. I never meant to call Hermione a Mud-"

"Shut it, Draco. Don't apologize to me." Harriet said, cutting off a pale, blond Slytherin boy.

"Sorry, Hermione." The boy said, whom I assume is Draco.

"Well, I guess I can accept your apology. Just don't call me that again." Hermione said.

"Well, I think you're too soft on him, Harriet." Ron said.

I was speechless. I mean, a Slytherin apologizing a muggleborn for insulting her? There hasn't been a Griffyndor-Slytherin friendship since Severus and I.

Thankfully, James spoke for me.

"Harriet, over here! Care to introduce us?"

"Hullo, Dad! Dad, Mum, this is Draco Malfoy. 'Co, my parents, Lily and James Potter." Harriet said

"Pleasure meeting you, Mr. Potter." Draco said, holding out his hand.

"Pleasure's mine, Draco." James replied, shocked.

"Pleasure meeting you too, Mrs. Potter" Draco said, kissing my hand.

"Why, thank you, Draco." I replied, startled. A Malfoy? Being kind to half-bloods and muggleborns? I remember Lucius being the exact opposite to them.

"Um, Harriet, dear? May we talk to you for a moment?" I asked.

Once, we were out of earshot, Harriet said, well prepared,"Mum, Draco used to be like his father. But since his father was bedridden, he was able to act like he wants to, without his father, um, forcing his beliefs into him."

"Forcing?" I asked, horrified.

"Yes." she replied. "Mum? Can Mistress Malfoy and Draco come for dinner?"

"Well, of course." I answered, proud that my daughter looked past the Slytherin prejudice and treated him with kindness.

I watched as Harriet breathed a sigh of relief. I chuckled to myself.

"Now, why don't you say goodbye to your friends?" I continued, "And tell Draco he can come with us. I'll tell his mother."

"Okay" Harriet said, grinning, before running off.

I grinned to myself. Maybe its to late for Severus and I, but not for those two.
