"This is it, we're here. The southernmost island on the map. Your brother's hide-out."

The group of eight were standing in a horizontal line, all observing the eerie scenery in front of them: a round island made of mud and stacked up trees that circled in a wide ring. In the middle of the crooked, strangely grown trees was a huge egg-shaped rock. A cave, a hide-out.

"Seriously? It looks like a bird's nest."
Jin commented, his eyebrows raised in surprise. Since the symbol of a might-eater was a mutant bird, the design of the island was quite ironic.

"I mean, at least we know he's got humor right?" Taehyung shrugged, his wandering eyes pausing on the lake surrounding the island. "So, how are we going to get to the other side?"

Eunha looked around as well. There was no boat in sight, though the girl doubted a boat would be of much help. The water was coloured a lime green and somehow gave her the idea that one single droplet could burn a hole in whatever it touched. She could just imagine a boat melting away in the poisonous looking lake. Definitely not an option.

"You're all thinking way too hard," Namjoon said, an almost smug look covering his face. "It's a bird's nest, right? So how do birds move around?"

"They fly."

At Namjoon's question, Eunha's eyes lit up in understanding. It was the ultimate move to keep any unwanted guests away. If only people who could fly could enter the hide-out, then the might-eater had a bigger chance of being safe.
Soul-keepers, for example, moved by boat, so if they were to try and stop the might-eater from doing evil, they wouldn't be able to reach them here. Angels were mostly with the victims themselves when something happened, they wouldn't try and follow the attacker as then they couldn't protect their assigned person and demons simply didn't care. Besides, if they did they would only root for the spreading of evil; they were no threat.

"Well aren't you lucky to have us then." Taehyung proudly stated, a mocking smirk spreading on his face. He rolled his shoulders back, loosening his muscles and showcasing his black-feathered wings.

Eunha rolled her eyes at the demon's pride, though a tiny smile stretched on her lips, "Yes, yes we are. Thank you, all of you, for being here."

The girl couldn't help but let out a shaky breath in between her sentences, the nerves growing now that she was so close to seeing her brother and mother.
She felt warm fingers reassuringly trap hers in a comforting hold. By the warmth and peace that washed over her, Eunha could tell it was her guardian angel holding her hand, "No problem, cutie." She turned her head to look up at Hoseok, that wide smile decorating his angelic face, warming her heart immediately.

"Yeah, and you don't have to thank us; it's our own choice. We are not here for a favour nor because we owe you. We want to help." Jin filled in, showing the girl a gorgeous smile of his own.

Man she was surrounded by art. Every single one of them could be accused of running away from their painting. Like, how had she survived for so many weeks? How had her heart survived?
And no, she was not complaining. Honestly, who would?

Reflecting his smile, Eunha nodded at him, silently telling herself to cut back on the emotional crap and just get on with it. "Let's go then."
She turned to look at Hoseok and Taehyung, waiting for their plan since they were the ones with wings.

The youngest of the two blankly stared at Eunha before following her suit and blinking at the angel, waiting for him to speak.
Having grown a lot closer over time, the duo managed to overcome their hatred for each other, only sometimes arguing when the demon said something morally wrong or talked about lives as invaluable things. Hoseok was secretly quite fond of the younger man and couldn't help but chuckle at the almost cute expression on his face,
"Well, I think we could both carry two of you at once. That would mean we only have to fly three times, which saves us a couple of minutes."
