Hello everyone, Cherry here, and welcome to Viva la Vida!

So a lot of you have been asking in my recent stories when the collaboration would be unveiled. Well, today's the day! Evelyn and I have been working the past few months on this idea, and it's evolved into something completely unique and awesome and I can't wait to write it alongside her!

The story's called Viva la Vida (based off the song by Coldplay, which gave us our idea), and it will be told from the POVs of Autumn September Penwillow (our princess) and Bayani. I will be writing Autumn's chapters and Evelyn will take Bayani's.

There will be other Cube members in this story besides Bayani, don't you worry! Grape already has a vital role and I'll be attempting to slip in cameos of the others wherever I can.

Enjoy you guys!

I hope you guys will enjoy this - now here's the prologue for you guys! :)

V I V A  L A  V I D A

"I used to rule the world
Seas would rise when I gave the word
Now in the morning I sleep alone
Sweep the streets I used to own

I used to roll the dice
Feel the fear in my enemies' eyes
Listen as the crowd would sing
Now the old king is dead, long live the king

One minute I held the key
Next the walls were closed on me
And I discovered that my castles stand
Upon pillars of salt and pillars of sand

I hear Jerusalem bells a'ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
Once you'd go, there was never
Never an honest word
And that was when I ruled the world

It was the wicked and wild wind
Blew down the doors to let me in
Shattered windows and the sound of drums
People couldn't believe what I'd become

Revolutionaries wait
For my head on a silver plate
Just a puppet on a lonely string
Oh, who would ever want to be king?

I hear Jerusalem bells a'ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world

ooooOOOOoooh
ooooOOOOoooh
ooooOOOOoooh
ooooOOOOoooh...

I hear Jerusalem bells a'ringing
Roman cavalry choirs are singing
Be my mirror, my sword and shield
My missionaries in a foreign field

For some reason I can't explain
I know Saint Peter won't call my name
Never an honest word
But that was when I ruled the world..."

P R O L O G U E

by Cherry

The kingdom was once a beautiful place. Expertly constructed buildings, neatly paved roads, all dotted with orchards filled with cherry blossom trees and flowers of every color and shape. The people were friendly, we were wealthy, and I had everything I could ever want.

That was the last time I was truly happy, I think.

My father was a brilliant king, or at least he had been. Every citizen knew his story, the epic tale of how he had recruited an army and overthrown the previous king, who had been incredibly evil and selfish, similar to the ‘Hitler’ that I read about in the history books once. He ruled fairly and justly, and people adored him immediately. My mother and I were so proud, so thankful to have such a wonderful man in our family.

All of this was real … until the rebels came.

Villages began to fall under attack. Soldiers headed out to stop them and, most of the time, never returned. Debt to other kingdoms weighed heavily on my parents’ shoulders. I helped as best I could, acting as an ambassador and plastering on the princess/girly act that I loathed for the sake of the kingdom. None of it was enough.

Suddenly, the life I’d been living felt like a dream. I began to doubt if it’d been real in the first place.

In reality, it was love that saved us all, in the end. If not for love, the kingdom would’ve been destroyed, just as you’d expect. Love turned the odds in our favor.

But that’s a whole different story, now, isn’t it?
