Jenna’s POV

‘Jen,’ my best friend Cassie cried, ‘why does it hurt so damn much?’ she asked hugging me and crying her eyes out on my bed. ‘It’s alright,’ I said, rubbing her back gently, ‘everything is going to be fine,’ I said soothingly. ‘But why?’ she cried out, ‘I mean if he doesn’t like me anymore, he could just break up with me, why did he have to cheat on me?’ she asked. It hurts to see her like this; Cassie has been my best friend and only friend ever since we met in first grade.

I still remember when Cassie fell for Chris when she first saw him; she thought it was fate that brought them together. She was one of those girls who still believed in all those Disney shit, those true love kiss and love at first sight. She thought that she and Chris would be together till they die. I envy her sometimes, I envy that she could love freely and she thinks that every guy she met would be her prince charming, that she was still so naïve to believe in true love despite all her breakups. I on the other hand, ever since I caught my dad screwing his intern on our couch, I lost faith in love.

Cassie and I watched ‘The notebook’, (her favourite movie) before she went to sleep. I watched her sleeping soundly, i know, that’s not creepy at all, but watching her sleep reminds me of all those times when she held me together when everyone in my life just decided to leave me, or the time we’ve sworn to be there for each other forever. 'Thank you, Cassie,' I smiled sadly and whispered before drifting off to sleep myself…

‘Jen,’ Cassie said, tugging me, ‘I think your mom is back,’ she said, shaking me to wake me up. ‘What?’ I said groggily, I’m not a morning person, and the sun is just killing me right now. ‘Cas, close the curtains will you?’ I said. ‘Jenna, your mom is back,’ Cas said again impatiently. Argg, the light is so annoying! Can’t Cassie just get her butt off my bed to close it? ‘Close the curtains, Cas!’ I yelled pulling up my blanket. ‘ JENNA! YOUR MOM IS BACK! GET FUCKING UP!’ she yelled in my ears and pulled off my comfortable, comfortable blanket. ‘Yea, I know, mom is back, just close- wait, MOM IS BACK?’ I got up immediately. Looking at the mess at my room, empty beer bottles everywhere, empty ice-cream boxes scattered around, I started to freak out. Mom would kill me if she found me drinking, and we did not drink only one can, but 2 dozens. I heard the sound of keys inserting into the doorknob as I shot up and screamed, ‘EVERYTHING IN THE CLOSET!’ Cassie and I shoved everything we could see on the floor into my closet. ‘Jen?’ I heard my mom yelled, her footsteps getting closer and closer to my room. 'Shit, there's an empty can over there!' Cassie whispered-yelled. Just as my mom opened my door, I managed to pick up that bottle and shove it under my blanket.

 ‘Hey mom,’ I said casually. ‘Hi girls…’ she said suspiciously. ‘I’ve brought you guys McDonald's, I’ll be leaving now, don’t do anything stupid.’ She said before closing the door and leaving the house. Mom hasn’t been the same ever since dad left us. When dad was still with us, mom was the best thing ever in my life, she's fun and I loved spending ever second with her. But now she’s rarely home anymore, and when she does come back, she leaves after a few minutes...

‘Whew,’ Cassie said, ‘that was close.’

‘Yea…it was,’ I said, looking out the window seeing mom’s car driving out of the pavement.

Lucas’s POV

‘Lukey,’ the blonde sitting next to the bed whines, ‘you’re finally awake,’ she said. I looked around at my surroundings; I did not remember any of this. My headache is killing me, and the sunlight coming in the room is making it worse.

‘Do you need anything, Lukey?’ the blonde asked. That’s when I turned my attention to her, ‘who are you?’ I asked harshly. I don’t like it when random girls are just sitting next to me. ‘You mean… you don’t remember me?’ The blonde asked, tears filling her eyes. I closed my eyes, trying to remember what happened last night. Bar. Vodka. Dancing. Kissing. Sex. Fuck, I had sex with her, and I didn’t even remember it. ‘You should leave,’ I told the blonde, regretting what I did last night. ‘YOU JERK!’ she screamed at me and slapped my face. I ignored the burning sensation on my cheeks and stared at her blankly before repeating, ‘You should leave,’ the blonde took her purse and shoes and left the room and banged the door loudly.

What am I doing with my life? I thought as I covered my face with my hands. High school has changed me from a fat, friendless boy to the most popular guy and the quarter-back for the football team, I’m happy how things turned out and I will not go back to my past life, those days when I just sit in the library and read about astronomy. Those were the days when everyone in the school made fun of my weight and the things that I do. I just can't go back anymore... I tried to push back those memories as I asked told myself, 'You are Lucas Rogue, and you are unstoppable,' And after I had that little talk with myself, I feel so much better. You know what? Screw this, I’m happy with life, how I could live carefree and have girls throwing themselves at me. And you know what else? I do not regret anything that happened last night. Not even one bit.

I hope you guys enjoy the first part of this chapter, basically i'm just introducing luke and jenna  I don't think there's much of Lucas's POV after the first few chapters because it could spoil the story if I tell you too much about lucas, but if you guys want me to write more about him, just comment down below and I'll do what I can :D  And sorry for all the grammar mistakes, and enjoy!  :)
