I ran into an alley, trying to hide, but that didn't work. They still found me.

"Just come back nicely and we won't hurt you." The one man said, showing his teeth.

I chuckled. "Is that what Jack said? You're not going to hurt me?"

"Master just gives us orders and that is to bring you in alive, wench!" The guy growled.

"Hey!" Someone shouted, distracting the two men. "That is no way to treat a lady!"

It gave me time to grab the one and toss him down the alley. When the other turned, he was already flying. The man looked at me with a surprised look.

"Look at you," he sang in a British voice. "Come here, let me look at you."

I couldn't help myself, so I went to him. He played with my hair as he looked me over.

"You are a sight, so beautiful and clearly gifted. What is your name?" He asked with a grin.

I had no control, I had to do what he said. "Jones. Juliet Jones."

He smiled, turning around. "Do you like Italian? Of course, you do. Come with me."

I followed him, taking his arm as he leads me to an Italian restaurant. There he demanded a table in the back where we sat. My dirty clothes didn't satisfy him, so he ordered a woman to give me her dress. He ordered our food, giving me no opinion.

He put his elbows on the table, locking his fingers. "Tell me, Juliet, what powers does your lovely body hold?"

I cleared my throat. "I have super strength and the ability to defy gravity."

"I think we will be a great team, Juliet. Don't you think?"

I nodded, agreeing with him not because I wanted to.

He reached across the table, lifting my chin. "Smile for me, darling." I gave him a smile. "Do you have any questions for me?"

"What is your name? Why am I here? What do you want with me? How..."

"Stop!" He shouted,  causing me to quickly stop. "One question at a time, love."

I nodded. "Your name?"

He grinned with his teeth. "You can call me Kilgrave."

--

Kilgrave controlled me for his own entertainment.  Everything he asked, I had to do it. It's been months since we first met. He learned everything about me, all that I hid, he found. He wouldn't let me go, even when I begged him to.

We were on the balcony, looking over New York.

"Isn't this lovely?" He purred, kissing my neck.

Kilgrave has kept me as his toy but hasn't done anything bad to me.

"It is," I replied, turning to him.

I felt a warm rush follow through me. Something about him made me want him. I grabbed his neck, pulling Kilgrave down, kissing him deeply.

"Why don't we go inside, it's getting chilly out here," I sweetly said, batting my lashes.

"I will be waiting for you, Jul," he smiled, kissing me one last time.

I waited for him to go inside. This was my chance, I could get away from his games. I turned to the ledge, stepping on it. I was about to step off, but Kilgrave ordered me to stand down. The first time he said, I didn't, it was like I was becoming immune to him.

Kilgave pulled me back. "What good is it to have ears if you don't listen?" He growled, roughly, handing me a knife. "Cut them off."

The knife broke my skin, but Kilgrave grabbed it from my hands, pulling me in close. He held me, gently stroking my hair.

"I'm sorry, Jul. I will always be here for you."
