Deb came upstairs to tell me that breakfast was done if I wanted any. Putting on ripped jeans and me tee-shirt, I went downstairs where Kilgrave was wanting outside. Taking a breath I sat down next to him. I grabbed bacon and began eating.
"Do you want orange juice or do you prefer whiskey?" Kilgrave asked with a slightly angered tone.
"Do not try to make me feel bad trying to forget about you. I am not the bad guy here!" I shouted, feeling fire flicker inside me.
Kilgrave raised a hand. "It's alright, I am just worried, that is all, Jul."
My hand was warm, but I didn't know why. "Sorry, I am defensive after everything that has happened."
Kilgrave reached over a gently touched my arm. "Juliet, it is all okay, I am here for now. No one will be allowed to touch you and I will make sure of that."
I pulled away from him. "You said this would take time and that is what I need, right now." I closed my eyes and leaned forward, letting out a sigh. "Listen," I started, looking at Kilgrave. "I don't know I feel or what will come of this, so please, be patient with me."
"And that is what you will have."
A loud crash came from the house, and suddenly a man was thrown through the window.
"Oh, no, not Jeremy!" Kilgrave shouted with a whining tone.
"Who is Jeremy?" I questioned.
"Well, he was a bodyguard in case anything were to happen. The real question is ruining our home?"
We both stood up, seeing Jack walk through the door.
Jack flicked a burnt cigarette onto the green lawn. "I told you that you were mine, Juliet and you are not going to run away from me."
Kilgrave moved me behind him. "Stop, right there, Jack. You will not touch Juliet."
I wrapped a hand around Kilgrave's arm. His powers were quiet the wonderment when I wasn't the one being control.
Jack growled. "She is mine! And I will kill you for her! After I make you her die!"
"You will do no such they, you scumbag!" Kilgrave barked back.
"I will skin you alive, Kilgrave," Jack shouted, trying to move, but he was ordered not.
I bared angry snarl. "You will do nothing to Kilgrave, pig!" I roared, showing my teeth, curling my fist, feeling a tingle in my hand.
Jack laughed. "You think you can protect your boyfriend? Did you forget that you're a freak?"
That made me lose it. I bolted at Jack, pinning him to the ground. "Because made me into this!" I screamed, punching him in the face. "You stole me!" I screamed, punching him again.
I stopped when Jack started laughing harder, spitting blood to the side. "Don't let your boyfriend turn around," Jack hissed to me. "He might get shot."
I roared, punching him half to death. "No!" I shouted, looking up at Kilgrave. A man was coming from behind him, with a gun pointing. "No!" I screamed, but it all felt like slow-motion. I ran and tackled Kilgrave to the ground when the gun went off.
Kilgrave and I chuckled. "I thought I lost you," I whispered.
Kilgrave grabbed his side, looking down he was bleeding. "Oh, that man will suffer. By killing himself after he kills Jack!"
That's when another gunshot went off, followed by another.
I patted Kilgrave's face as he dazed off. "No, you can't leave me."
I grabbed him and ran him to the car, driving as fast as I could. Kilgrave was dazing off, but I talked to him.
"Hey, stay awake!" I ordered.
"Why didn't you leave to die? I'm just like Jack, a monster," Kilgrave groaned.
I stepped on the pedal harder. "You are not leaving me. And you are not a monster. You are not dying on me."
Kilgrave chuckled.
"This is not a game, Kilgrave. You are not dying on me! Because -- I, I love you!" Looking over to Kilgrave was off, he didn't even hear me say any of it.
I rolled my eyes, getting him to the hospital. l was by his side until they brought him back. The doctors told me to give him rest, so I picked him up and brought Kilgrave home.
