Chapter 5: The Night Guard
_________________________ A loud ringing sound echoed throughout the pizzeria as the clock struck six. The main power turned on and a click could be heard from the main entrance as the manager opened the doors. He looked at the animatronics on the stage and smiled. Another day was here, that means more piles of cash to sit on. The pizzeria was booming with business, and had birthday parties booked everyday. They were only missing one thing: a night guard. The animatronics had cost the company a fortune, and they needed protection. The manager hurried to his office and turned on his computer. He went to check his email to see if anyone was interested in applying for a job. The manager almost jumped out of his seat when he read the email! A man with the name Jeremy Fitzgerald wanted to job! He replied to the email quickly, hiring him. No interview needed. Kids streamed into the pizzeria, yelling a squealing in delight as they watched the animatronic band play songs and act out skits. The older kids would always be in the game room, with their faces glued to the screen of a variety of video games. Toddlers swarmed Kid's Cove, crying and screaming. To be honest, it was all utter chaos. At the end of the day, the manager greeted the new night guard and have him a tour of the pizzeria. The animatronics watched him with curiosity, not knowing who he was. "Thank you, sir! I will do my best!" The new night guard said with confidence. "I'm sure you will!" The manager chuckled as they walked out of the pizzeria.
