The purple drapings that were bloodstained, tucked into a plastic bag along with a loaded gun, an old pair if gloves and a used mop, were burned in the middle of the Black Woods at 8:45pm. The fire accidentally spread to the trees due to negligence, and eventually half the forest burned until 6:00 in the morning. The responsible arsonist was never identified, or at least he wont be until later on.
Capo, a silly olive-skinned boy with sea blue eyes, who tried to hide his accent and wore branded but baggy clothes, had stood by the police line.
"Anything I could help with kid?" a brown haired young deputy approached him.
"No ma'am," Capo replied, "I just couldn't help but wonder what's going on here?"
"Someone left a campfire on all night and forgot to turn it off," the deputy chuckled.
"Mind if I take a look, I am an excellent tracker, might be able to tell where they went," Capo smiled.
"I'm not sure I could do that..... But I'm from the city and don't do well with tracking..... Get in." she lifted up the police tape and let him in.
The day before.....
The ocean was gray and cold. Over the untamed waters lay a small island that was mire of rock than soil and sand. The waves crashed violently against the rocky cliffs. The wailing of a siren came from the tower of what looked like an ultimate highe security secret prison.
"What the hell is this place?" Markus asked.
"A prison designed for the most devious minds and criminals. All those killers, crazy criminals who disappeared after trial... they all came here." Lilith replied as the helicopter landed.
"How do we have powere here?" Markus asked as two men, a bodyguard and a charming man in his mid thirties approached them.
"We own the warden," Lilith replied and walked out.
The man, the warden, greated her happily and gave her a big embrace.
"Lilith!" he happily greeted, "I got the code."
"Thank you for letting us check in," Lilith said, sincerely, which was surprisingly rare.
"There's something you need to see," the man said and whispered something in her ear. They both ran quickly into the open steel doors.
Duchess, Blackwater
"He said okay!" Rose squeeled with butterflies in her stomach.
"See where courage gets you," the bartender cheered.
"Rose Samuels," She introduced herself.
"Jules," the bartender introduced herself as well.
"Listen to this one," Arthur came over, sat at the table and smiled, "in every relationship she's been in, either it went really well or she broke it off."
"So who's your lucky girl this time?" Jules asked Arthur.
"I think this one might be different," Arthur smiled.
"Who might that be?" the bartender smiled.
"Lilith........ from earlier," he smiled.
"I'd say nice catch but she seems a little.." Jules said, "Out of your league."
"She's right," Rose added, "No offense but Lilith is..."
"The spoiled rich girl?" Arthur chuckled.
"Watch your tongue there buddy," a college boy with frizzy black hair, olive skin and sea blue eyes sat at the table.
"Why?" Arthur looked at him curiously, "I don't think I've seen you here before."
