Miel saw the photo. Pagbukas ko pa lang ng IG pagdating namin ni Jen ng Manila alam kong nakita ni Miel ang photo. Nasa activity niya sa IG.
She liked the photo, for God’s sake! And that was her only activity in IG!
Kababalik ko pa nga lang ng Manila problema agad. Nakatanggap na nga ako ng sapak galing sa Dad ko nung isang araw. Ano naman kayang matatanggap ko kay Miel?
I was in the middle of my paranoia when my phone rang. Kinabahan ako. The first person that came into my mind was Miel but when I looked at the screen, it’s Xander pala.
“Bro?”
“Hey, Euan! Bro, I heard you’re in Manila na!” sabi niya in the midst of the noise sa kabilang linya. Tingin ko nasa bar na naman siya.
“Yeah, just yesterday. Why? What’s up?” Then I heard him told Skyler na labas muna siya dahil kakausapin niya ‘ko. I’m guessing nakalabas siya agad dahil natahimik na.
“Come on, let’s catch up. Same place. Andito si Sky. Hahabol si Gian.”
“Can’t bro.”
“Why? Your Dad na naman ba?”
“No. Miel.”
“What about Miel?” he asked casually.
“Bro, nakita niya yung photo namin ni Jen sa Instagram!” frantic kong sabi.
“O tapos? What about it?”
Anong tapos? Did he not get the point? He knows kung gaano ka-maldita si Miel. At alam niya rin kung ano ang mga bagay na kaya nitong gawin.
“Why? Nakatanggap ka na ba ng mga death threats galing kay Miel?” he joked.
“Bro naman. Don’t take this as a laughing matter—“
“Alright, alright. Bakit ba? Have you received threats na from her? I’m serious!”
“No. Hindi nga ako tinitext o tinatawagan. Almost three weeks na!”
“O yun naman pala. Wala naman palang text, wala ring tawag. Alam mo bro, you’re overthinking. You’re creating a problem na hindi pa naman dapat pinoproblema.”
I sighed. Well he got a point there. Pero…
“Euan, loosen up. Saka mo na lang problemahin pag andyan na. Sa ngayon, let’s celebrate muna! Kasama rin naman ang barkada ni Jen and sabi ni Jen hahabol daw siya. So come on!”
“Alright…”
“Good! We’ll wait for you, okay? Bye.” And then he ended the call.
Not a minute after ay nakatanggap ako ng text message galing sa girlfriend ko. Papunta na rin daw siya sa bar. Sige na nga. Pupunta na ‘ko.
Tsaka, Xander’s right. I should not problem something na hindi dapat pinoproblema. Or hindi pa in this case. Saka, ano naman if she saw the photo? She knew from the very beginning na I’m against the engagement and I don’t love her. Hindi ko na problema yun.
