Madeline's Point Of View

"Good morning Ms. Rodriguez!" Bati namin ng mga kaklase ko sa principal. She looked so pale, as in! Para bang nakakita ng multo.

"Take your seat, I have something really important to announce."

Whispering was heard in the room

"Some of you may have noticed Bryce's absence, that is because of the fact that he's in the hospital, he's in a coma right now." sabi nya habang nakatingin saaming lahat.

Lumakas naman ang pagbubulungan ng mga kaklase ko, pinagchichismisan ang balitang sinabi samin ni ma'am.

"Bat kaya siya naospital"

"Hindi ba si Bryce yung pala-absent"

"Ano kayang nangyari sakanya"

Tumigil ang pagbubulungan nila nang magsalita ulit si ma'am.

"Enough of the gossiping, Bryce really would appreciate some prayers for him to get better though, I can't tell you why he's in the hospital because it's too personal, Goodbye class"

"Ateeee"

Pagpasok ko sa bahay ay sinalubong ako ng yakap ni Wade, kapatid ko na 4 years old. Nginitian ko sya at binuhat ko papunta sa sofa at iniupo sya don.

"Wade, pagpahingahin mo muna yang ate mo at siguradong pagod yan, you'll play later" Sabi sakanya ni mommy. Nagpaalam ako para umakyat muna sa kwarto.

Pagkaakyat ko ay humiga agad ako sa kama para matulog.

Nagising ako sa isang puting kwarto, walang furniture or anything, just empty.

How the hell did I even get here?

I swear wala namang part ng bahay namin na ganito at tsaka sa kwarto ako natulog kanina.

My thoughts were stopped when I heard a deep loud voice in the room.

"Hello Madeline, Sleep well?"

Umikot ako para hanapin kung kanino nanggaling ang boses ngunit mag-isa lang naman ako.

"Who are you?" I asked while looking around the room.

"Okay, enough of the chitchats and I'll get straight to the point, you heard about Bryce's state. He attempted to commit suicide."

Who the fvck is he and how does he know that?

"And you, my lucky fellow, is going to convince his wandering soul to continue on with his life"

"Ano?!" Sabi ko habang nakakunot ang aking noo.

"You heard me, I'm giving you thirty days to talk to him, ipakita mo sakanya na marami pang rason para mabuhay"

"What about me? Kaluluwa nalang din ako? Anong mangyayari sakin kung hindi ko siya mapilit?" Andaming tanong na humihiling ng sagot.

"No, you're still alive. You'll just start seeing Bryce's soul. Anong mangyayari sayo kapag pumalpak ka? We'll see. 30 days will start tomorrow. Goodbye Madeline"

"Sandali!" sigaw ko ngunit wala nang sumagot.
