The Potion... (SNO)

A/N: Sorry that this is so late! I got a new phone and had to transfer everything onto it. I nearly lost my Wattpad account because of it :(. (Mario's POV)

Xylo and I were heading off to talk with the witch, Rae. Apparently, Xylo doesn't trust her but I don't see the problem with her. Yes she may be a bit skeptical at times, but she seems like a good ally.

"Seriously, Alpha. I don't trust this witch." Xylo growled lowly.

"Calm down, Xylo. It's only one talk, meaning you don't have to talk to her anymore." I sighed as I look over to the tower in front of us.

"But-"

"Hello boys." My beta was interupted by Rae walking out the front door. "What could I do for you?"

"Well we just came to talk about a few things." That's how our conversation started.

It was going well for about 20 minutes until Rae decided to pull out a potion suddenly.

"Speaking of potions, I have this one that I've always wanted to try." She says,  pulling put a bottle with a green and black liquid.

"Umm what does that potion do?" Xylo says slightly glaring at Rae.

"You'll find out soon enough~" She smirks as she proceeds to throw the potion at me.

Once it does hit me, I'm engulfed by a thick grey smoke and I start coughing violently.

"Alpha!" I hear Xylo yell and I heard him growl at Rae, who just chuckled. Once the smoke disappears, Xylo runs up to me and pats my back as I continue to cough.

"Thank you -cough- Xylo." After I calmed down from my coughing fit, I turned to Rae- or where she was standing. She's gone.

"Gosh darnit, she's gone!" Xylo growls again as he runs to where she was standing. I walk up to him and put a hand on his shoulder.

"Calm down. She's probably long gone. Now, let's head back to Packhaven." He growls lowly but nods his head and we head back to Packhaven.

'Let's just hope this potion didn't do more than give me a little cough.' I thought as we walk back down the path to the pack.

~~~A Few Days Later~~~

I had just finished my 3rd coughing fit today and you could tell that the pack was starting to worry. It was obvious I was sick because I was wearing a mask everytime I was around someone.

Right now, I was looking for Xylo and Bryan as we were gonna go meet up with the vampires over at Mythspire.

"For the last time Xylo! Carrots don't grow on trees!" I heard Bryan yell at Xylo. I rounded the corner and saw them fighting.

"Yes they do! Where else would they grow?!" He retorted and I decided this was a perfect time to intervine.

"Xylo, carrots grow underground. That's why they are covered in dirt once harvested." They both jumped and turned around to see me.

"Oh hey Alpha! How you feeling today?" He asked curious but I could tell that they were both concerned.

"Eh. Definetly been better." I shrugged and they both looked concerned. "Anyways, let's go. We have a meeting at Mythspire today." I walk away and I could hear them following.
