(Bryan's POV)

Today is the day...

Everyone shows me fake affection and kindness that I just can't take anymore. I know that deep in my heart that none of it's true.

All the smiles, all the jokes, all the small talks I have will them all, it just feels...

Fake...

I feel like I don't deserve any of it, not after what I did.

I killed Ms Kaykrae, I killed Jake, I fought Mario... Even if the sword is destroyed and they are all alive still, I still fear that I'll turn again. If I do, I'm afraid that I'll do worse than before. They may be permanetly dead next time for all we know!

This is why, today, I'm running away from camp, from my family, friends, even the person I actually love... Even if they are mute.

I'm leaving to protect them, so I'm not a waste of space anymore, so I don't have to suffer looking at all their fake smiles anymore.

I've packed my bags, left a note for everyone to read so they don't worry about me... If they still care...

I open the door to my cabin, walk out, closing the door behind me, and heading towards the front of camp.

Just as I got to the edge of the entrance, I heard multiple footsteps and Jake yelling "Stop!!"

I turned around, tears already in my eyes, as I smile slightly at them all.

"W-Why are you all here?"

"Bryan, please come back." Kaykrae put a hand out to me but I just backed up.

"Why? I already have to suffer through all of your fake smiles, talks and jokes. Why can't I just suffer out there where I belong?" I say, bluntly.

Everyone had frowns plastered on their faces, tears falling from some. Even Mario, Kay and Jake had tears rolling down their cheeks, which confused me but I shook it off.

"What do you mean? None of it was fake! We're happy you're back!" One of my sisters, Bri, were holding a hand out now.

"N-No, it has to be fake. I don't deserve any of it! Not after what I did..." My own tears were falling now.

"No, none of it's fake! Yes you did some bad things, but you still deserve happiness like us all! Your a friend to all of us and you redeemed yourself!" My other sister, Lily, held her hand out like Bri.

"I-I... I won't believe it." I started to back away further from them until I was at the edge of the camp. "I'm going to leave camp, for all of your safety. You aren't safe around me, you aren't happy around me, I just can't stay!"

I was going to take my final step back until I heard a voice which made me freeze.

"P-Please... d-don't go..."

I look at everyone as they moved away to show the mute himself, Inmo, standing in the middle of everyone with the most tears in his eyes as he looks at me directly.

It pained my heart to look at him with tears on his beautiful face. I've had feelings for him for a while but I just didn't wanna believ he'll like someone as evil and broken as me...

"W-Why..." I asked, not really wanting an answer.

He stared to slowly move towards me and I tried to move away but I felt like my legs were glued to the ground.

Eventually, he got to me and grabbed my hands in his own and looked me dead in the eye. "B-Because... I love you..."

"W-Why would y-you love me?"

I wanted to object but, I was pulled in to him, making our lips touch as he kisses me passionately. He wrapped his arms around my neck, deepening the kiss.

It took me a moment to process what just happened before I began to kiss him back, wrapping my own arms around his waist.

For the first time in a while, I feel real love and happiness flowing through my body, and it feels great.

When we pulled apart, we were smiling, tears of happiness falling from both our eyes and he leaned my forehead on mine before whispering.

"That's why."

And this is the story on how me and my fiancé became official. Just remember that, in life when things are tough, you'll always have someone there for you.

I closed the book and quill and placed it upon the shelf with the other books from over the years.

I backed up and admired the shelf that held all the memories over the years at camp. From when we met, our first days at camp, my proposal to him. Best day in my life.

I was too busy admiring all the books, I didn't even notice that someone was behind me.

"Hey~" They whisper as I felt a pair of arms wrap around my neck and I lean against their chest, smiling.

"Hey babe." I turn my head and kissed his lip. He turned me completly and kissed back. After a few minutes, we pull apart, smiling.

"So, what's up?

"Brothers wanna hangout!" He yells. Normally he's quiet but he talks quite a bit around me.

I chuckle at his excitement. "Sure, we can hangout. There's nothing else to do anyways so, lead the way, love."

He jumps up and down and literally drags me out the door to where we're meeting his brothers.

I'm happy to have him in my life and I'm happy I didn't leave camp those few years ago.
