Way back 1980s; my mother was a senior cadet officer while my father was a junior officer in ROTC. My father has a crush on my mother during that time, he talked to my mother’s close friend, also an officer, and he told that she will give the bouquet of flowers sent by my dad. My mother didn’t know who is sending flowers to her. And as time pass by; my father got all his confidence to tell to my mom that he was the one sending flowers and he decided to confess his feeling for my mom.
You can say that my father was a very sweet person but when my mother was once become a Judo player and become part of the National Team he had a hard time courting my mother but people say nothing nor no one could stop love, my dad tried to learn Judo just to continue and show to my mother that he really love her.
After some months, after my father undergoing a lot of hardship just courting my mother, at last she answered him. They become very sweet couple during those times, after two years, my father asked my mother’s hand. And in the power of love, my parents are wedded on July 30, 1987.
Last July 30, 2012, my parents celebrated their silver wedding anniversary. They receive a music video from their children, us. I edited the video and my older sister is the one who sang the song. Up to this day, my parents are continuing their life as a happy couple living with their good children.
