𝐈𝐌𝐄𝐒𝐒𝐀𝐆𝐄 𝐀𝐍𝐃 𝐍𝐀𝐑𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐈𝐕𝐄

The first three periods went by fast, and before she knew it, Maisy was at lunch. She was sat at her usual table with Mattia, Reece, Alvaro, Kairi, Roshaun, Alejandro and Samy.

"So, who wants to go to that party on Friday?" Alejandro asked, poking at the school lunch which was turkey with gravy and stuffing.

"I'm so down, I need a party right now." Reece responded, working on her math homework that was due next period.

"Who's throwing it?" Maisy asked, shoving Alvaro away as he tried to stuff a piece of turkey in her face. Looking at his phone, Alejandro's face turned into a look of uncertainty.

"Uh... Josh is throwing it," The group glanced at Mattia to see his reaction, but he was too busy filming a tiktok.

"Huh?" He placed his phone down and looked up as he felt eyes on him.

"The party on Friday, it's at Josh's house." Alejandro repeated, and Mattia scoffed.

"Y'all really wanna go to that wack asses party?" He raised his eyebrow and looked between everyone.

A few months ago, Mattia had been talking to this girl Jenna. Him being the popular kid he is, this fact wasn't a secret, and Jenna earned many nasty looks from girls who wished to be in her position. Josh was in another group of friends, one that theirs didn't particularly get along with, but Josh was the only one they tolerated. At one point they even considered almost adding him to the group, but before they could think it through, Mattia found out Jenna cheated on him with Josh, and he had been the one to instigate it.

The group looked around awkwardly and played with their fingers, not wanting to say they wanted to go. "Fine," Mattia exasperated, shoving his tray of food away. "but if he even as so much LOOKS at me funny, i'm fucking him up." He sat back and crossed his arms.

"Ayo, don't be so hostile. Forget them and just have fun." Samy tried to reason.

"Whatever." Mattia rolled his eyes, going on his phone.

"Someone's got a stick up their ass," Kairi joked, causing everyone to laugh. Mattia just rolled his eyes and continued scrolling on his phone.

Maisy sighed and set down her phone, it was now the last period of the day and she just wanted to go home. She looked up at the sound of a girl coughing and examined her. The girl had a red dot on her hand as she had expected. Maisy turned away not wanting to stare, and went back to her phone and listening to the lecture.

"Miss Johnson, could you pay attention to the lesson?" A few snickers from other students were heard, causing Maisy to look up.

"I am," she retorted, but put her phone away not wanting to cause a scene.

The rest of the period slowly passed, making Maisy anxious to leave already. As soon as the bell rung, she made a b-line for Kairi's locker, which is where the group always met up after school.

She saw Kairi putting away his books and Alvaro talking to some girl she'd seen around the halls. The girl shot her a smile, which made Alvaro turn around and dap her up after she'd dapped Kairi up.

"Hey guys," Maisy greeted, leaning against the wall.

"Hi, I'm Hoakalei. I'm just working on a school project with Alvaro." The girl introduced herself. Maisy nodded and smiled softly in response, not being keen to having a conversation.

Since 7th grade, it had been Kairi, Alvaro, and Maisy. The three had met at a coed soccer clinic over the summer and hit it off. Once mid freshman year came around, the trio met Reece, Mattia and Alejandro; who introduced them to Roshaun and Samy. The group had been pretty solid and in Maisy's eyes they weren't looking for 'new members'.

"Hi, I'm Maisy, but most people call me Mais," She greeted to be polite.

"I didn't know there were girls in this group." Hoakalei looked her up and down then turned back to Alvaro. As she did, Maisy looked at Kairi and the short boy just shrugged. Maisy decided to ignore the comment and cleared her throat.

"When're we leaving?" She looked up at Mattia then looked at the others.

"Now?" The boy suggested, picking up his bags. Him doing this caused all the other boys to do the same, ready to head out.

"Where are you guys going?" Hoakalei butted herself into the conversation, Maisy having to use all her willpower not to roll her eyes.

"We're going to visit Mar-" Alvaro began but Maisy cut him off before he could finish.

"Just a friends house." Maisy answered and began to walk towards the exit, expecting the boys to follow, and they did.

update, i really like this plot line
but imma have trouble putting
the different big points together
that i have in mind.
