Night Changes

Chapter 3 - Meeting him

I arrived at school and Emma, Kate, and Caroline were waiting for me.

They showed me who where the popular people, the nerds, the emos and the cheerleaders.

*Few hours later *

The school ended and now i was walking with Caroline home cause we were neighbours.

*At night*

-Mum can i go take a walk? -i asked my mum after dinner.

-I don't think it's a good idea Melanie. - my mum answered.

-Please mum, i promise that i'll be careful. This is not dangerous. You said it yourself, everyone is nice. - i tried convincing my mum.

-Are you sure you're not going to a party or meeting with your friends? - my mum asked.

-MUM! I don't like partys and i just made 3 friends and they are good girls and i'm not meeting with them, i'm just going for a walk. You know i love nights. - i told my mum.

-Okay, okay but be careful. - my mum told me.

-Thank you mum.

I walked out of my house and a few minutes later i bumped into someone.

- Ouch! - i said in pain. I was actually in the floor right now.

-I'm sorry. Are you ok? - i heard a male voice saying. I couldn't see his face and he helped me to get up. Then he pointed a lantern to me.

-I never saw you before, are you from here? - the boy asked.

-Hum no. I'm from Manchester, UK. I'm new here. - i answered.

-Oh you're the new girl? Are you from this neighbourhood? - he asked.

-Yeah, i am.

-I live in the house that is in the front of yours. I'm Luke. What is your name? - he said while he put his lantern in his face so i could see his face. He was really handsome. He had his blond hair quiffed, and his eyes were blue. He was tall and he had broad shoulders.

-I'm Melanie.

-What do you do here in the night? - he asked.

-I like to walk at night. What do you do here?

-I just had a discussion with my olders brothers. - he confessed. - I'm gonna get going, my mum is probably worring about me.

Omg i was so shy. Why am i not more outgoing? I should change a bit. I really want to talk to him more. I just need to be a bit more impulsive.

-Wait! - i said.

-Hum what? - he asked.

-I was wondering if you would like to go to a Park that i passed by a few minutes ago? - i asked. Please say yes, say yes, say yes.

-Oh i know that park. Yeah let's go. - he answered.

We walked to the park.

-So... - he said. He was as awkward as me.

-So... Tell me things about you. - i said.

-My surname is Hemmings. I have 2 older brothers. Jack and ben. My parents's name are Liz and Andy. I like to sing. I play guitar and piano. I like football. And i'm good at maths. Now it's your turn. - he said.

-My surname is Simpson. My parents's name are Sarah and David. I play guitar and piano too. I don't have any siblings. I hate sports. I love to read and write stories. - i said.

After that me and Luke got home.

*Next day*

Yesterday was weird. I walked to school with Caroline. I told her about Luke.

-Wait! Luke? Luke Hemmings? - she asked. She looked really suprised.

-Yeah. Why are you so suprised? - i asked.

-Because he's really shy. And Luke is my friend because my boyfriend is one of his best friends. My boyfriend's name is Ashton. Oh there he is. - she said.
